Im not quite sure we should be believing anything Perez says. How can the club lose its nerve?
Perez said they signed contracts last week
There is no backing out now
They have to fall own their own sword

Well said lad
And they have always wanted that CL trophy,,,Would bet on City and Chelsea since they're still in the CL and it seems a real possibility they might not be for much longer.
City really seem to have the least to gain from all this since they pretty much dominate the league and get CL every season anyway.
You talking about a RS manager?I truly have zero idea whether ESL will work out or not, but with anything in society, there's always immense resistance to change. Football is nothing new.
Whilst the current "closed-shop" plan is ludicrous, I can see the "founding fathers" being open to a more accessible system which allows for multiple leagues to exist and having a promotion/relegation system down the line. Now either in 5 years down the line, this could be something that fails miserably and ruins football, or it could very well be something that revolutionizes football. We just have to wait and find out, only God knows the true answer. But the society has never been kind to change and the ESL is just another case of this.
Poor Carragher and Neville, they got all excited about a fan backlash and making a real change, then Perez comes along and sh*ts all over their parade, doesn't budge an inch and then sticks the dagger in with the announcement that all the teams are now legally binded to play in the league.
I don't think there is any real way to separate the owners from the clubsI think the smart move would be for the non-SL clubs to make the narrative be against the greedy owners of these clubs rather than the clubs themselves. If we can get the (few) proper fans of these SL clubs united to protest and kick up a fuss, it’ll have a better impact. If you solely attack the clubs directly, you’re going to make their support defensive. I’d prefer a match where Everton and Man United fans joined together in trying to kick the greedy owners out of the game, rather than us just booing at them and solving nothing...

Leeds tried that today .....left matching shirts in the dressing room for RS ....chose not or unable to wear themI think the smart move would be for the non-SL clubs to make the narrative be against the greedy owners of these clubs rather than the clubs themselves.
