They signed contracts.suspect they will argue they didn't "break it" - which is obviously a BS technicality.

Gary Neville says he hopes Perez sues them into oblivion lolWill be fascinating to see this play out over the next couple of days. I wonder if they are going to suffer any financial penalties through this falling apart
Rule 9. Except with the prior written approval of the board, during the season a club shall not enter or play its senior men’s first team in any competition other than
L.9.1 – The UEFA Champions League
L.9.2 – The UEFA Europa League
L.9.3 – The FA Cup
L.9.4 – The FA Community Shield
L.9.5 – The Football League Cup or
L.9.6 – Competitions sanctioned by the County Association of which it is a member
Think you would struggle to punish someone for breaking this before a ball has been kicked or any fixtures or dates put into the calendar. Would get messy legally. I don't think the PL will pursue it. They should but they won't.
WE must prevent this from ever happening again. There has to be a deterrent in place so this cant happen again. That's why carrying on like nothing happened won't work.
How can we trust these clubs not to just try and force through something similar in future? If there are no repercussions and no future deterrent, then I think we'll see this happen again.
Thats the worry .This thing will happen, one day, just a diluted form and maybe even still under UEFA as a super CL competition. It’s inevitable under the current footballing structure and governance.
but another set of lawyers would argue that signing the form saying you will enter and that being accepted by the competition organisers amounts to entering the competition. Thats how lawyers work, professional arguers. There's lots at stake here, I'm rather hoping they get stranded in years of legal quagmire,They declared an intention.
They cant enter a competition that doesn't exist.
A court of law would laugh at that rule.
For the record I want all 6 relegated to DAS SPL.
But I can see why no sanctions will come, but lets not forget, my record on predictions is quite possibly the worst in Europe.
BREAKING NEWS I have it on good authority that the super league fell apart NOT because of fan/pundit pressure but because the 11 clubs realised they might have to play at Anfield more than once a season and no amount of TV money can pay for all the coach damages.
