Champions League revamp

No. 4 slots. One wild card based on coefficient points. Meaning if the RS finish 9th they can still get in...

Wow, this is unbelievable. Do we have a limit on position they can get in on wild card like you still have to finish top 8.
Do we always get the wild card for example Milan also finish 9th. So basically the rs will already be in the cl every season.

It’s basically the Super League but without all the control really, next best thing they’re likely to get without having full control.

In time that will change....

No. 4 slots as normal plus one wild card based on coefficient points. Meaning if the RS finish 9th they can still get in...
Not quite, I'm fairly sure you would still have had to have qualified for one of the 'lesser' European competitions ie Europa League or Europa Conference League, at which point you would then be 'upgraded' to the Champions League. So finishing 9th would mean you'd miss out, regardless of your coefficient.

It’s why we need them not to get in this season. Their coefficient will decrease every time they’re not in it so will make that legacy loophole less likely.

The coefficients are whatever they want them to be though. So the fact that they’ve won 6 European Cups, that on its own means that they’ll qualify forever no matter where they finish in the league.

There is no honour amongst scoundrels it appears. Colour me surprised.

Well, of course that's the Perez position. Confronted with a clear and present threat to their businesses, they did what they needed to do to save them. But to him, it's about a betrayal of trust, because he's never been capable of thinking past himself.

If I was Moshiri - spend £150 million this summer and if we get pulled up over FFP take them to the highest court like City did and point out UEFA make the rules up as they go along in regards to when to enforce their own rules or not.

Sadly, the courts wouldn't care.

Well, let me amend that a bit. We could probably get a decision in our pet court just like he did. But we'd lose at CAS.

So do we now get 6 slots for the CL, how does this work?

My understanding it will remain at 4, plus 3 invites for highest co-efficient (Across Europe) that doesn't qualify across the comp + 2 special invites

So you would imagine if any of Chelsea, City, United or Liverpool miss top 4, they would qualify (based on today's co-efficient) for an invite & the spare two would act as a tool to buffer for a collapsing club who's co-efficient plummets

Where is may benefit ourselves / LCFC etc is if one of these clubs are deep in the Europa / CL and challenging for 4th (EG Chelsea at the mo) they may well prioritise there European fixtures more knowing there is a safety net

Sky and the likes need to cease pedaling the line about officials wanting no sanctions. The Prem needs to be pressured into penalties - bans, points off the board, unprecedented fines. They've brought the game and league into disrepute.

The Scab 6 need to be bullied mercilessly regardless of what happens too. None of this 'Don't blame the players.'

The Crimson lot had their chance to join Leeds' protest. They didn't. Their statement came after it was obvious everything was crumbling
