Champions League revamp

To be honest some of his speeches were like something from a Bond film seemed all very scripted and something very dodgy about it.

They’ve tried to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes. Made a mockery of the game to get themselves even more money. They’re all as evil and greedy as each other. Rats.

If I were Moshiri and I determined that to be the case, I would see if there's a pathway to revolt and, if so, take the temperature of the room towards exercising it.

If I determined that no such pathway exists or that the will to take action is not there, I would sell the club. Because as much as I love the club, it just wouldn't be worth the heartache of spending my time spinning my wheels playing a game that is rigged.

RATS the lot of them. They will move forward together alright... the rest won’t get a look in. Can’t wait for the protests and out cry when it turns into a closed shop for them....

Got in laws who live in Edinburgh and went down few years back and ended up going a Hibs game as the in law started going their games. If this carries on and English football gets destroyed think I'll just start watching their games up in Scotland atleast the clubs up there are proper and not sucked off and given a leg up by a cartel in governance / the media.

English Football sold its soul yesterday and today as far as I am concerned. UEFA could have made a statement and given them a one year ban from CL/EL to send a message but have shown their true colours.

I didn't assert that, but I can very much see how you read that between the lines, so I'll address it.

The advantage to not punishing them is that you can wring greater concessions with respect to future behavior out of them, which enhances the value of the deterrent threat. The disadvantages are that, to be candid, it looks bad and that it doesn't do anything to establish your willingness to hit back in unforeseen circumstances that the deal doesn't cover.

So by not punishing them, you gain greater potency with respect to the specific concerns at the expense of the general. Which is more desirable is a case-by-case question.

I'm very sorry about your personal story. That sort of thing seems to be increasingly common these days, though perhaps that's just better media coverage and ability to get one's own personal story out there.
Don't worry about the assault. It was years ago. As I mentioned, I've got my closure and moved on. I was just using it as an illustration of my point. The two scenarios are certainly not comparable.

I think if what your saying happens, then I can certainly see the case for no punishment. The problem is, I have no trust in the UEFA, the FA or even our politicians, to get this right.

I want to see punishment now, while there is still an appetite for it. Because I believe things are in danger of fizzling out, and this whole affair being brushed under the carpet

If I was Moshiri - spend £150 million this summer and if we get pulled up over FFP take them to the highest court like City did and point out UEFA make the rules up as they go along in regards to when to enforce their own rules or not.

So do we now get 6 slots for the CL, how does this work?

This is the biggest joke of the lot. People think that they’ve stopped this super league but two or potentially three of the scab 6 are looking at no CL football next season. Juventus are looking at no CL football next season. Barca and Real Madrid are looking at eye watering financial losses, and we expect them all to just accept it gracefully and carry on as though nothing happened?
