2024/25 Charly Alcaraz

Obviously not. You'd argue blue was red if it meant having a different perspective to most. Which I respect to an extent when it's a worthwhile but sometimes it feels like you're this forums the personification of clickbait.
How is saying getting Alacaraz on as a sub - when that's been the most effective move since he's been here - is in any way shape or form 'controversial'?

Give your head a wobble, Mr (un)Happy.

I meant the constant arguing. Not necessarily about Alcaraz and Doucs. It's just constant negativity.

With a full pre-season and ndiaye pulling opposition all over the place, he'll (charlie) be even more effective. Get an ndiaye equivalent over on the right side and teams will quake with our attack. Imagine mbeumo from brentford on the right?

Not for me.

Doucoure does a lot of work. Doucoure for an hour and then Alcaraz for the last 30 minutes.
Doucoure does cover a lot of ground but the impact of that is nullified by the fact that he can't press to save his life.

Can't count the number of times I've watched him mess up our high press with his daft timing/positioning, allowing the opposition to get out of a trap we've caught them in and break our lines on the counter.

Doucoure was awful yesterday Dave apart from run around and being unable to pass a football i don't know what his purpose is and more importantly why you think he deserves to start a football match for us.

People dont appreciate the amount of work he gets through: blocking passing lanes for opponents and popping up in midfield and attack doubling up with other blue shirts to win the second balls etc. He also can be counted on to grab a goal or two.

He's not great, but Alcaraz doesn't put the shift in Doucoure does.

The two games he has been most effective in were Palace and Brentford when he played the 90 minutes supporting Beto. Both games Doucoure was in his best position, as far away from the pitch as he could be.
