Im just still really angry I paid full price for Division 1.

I’ve been playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 lately as it was free on PS Plus. Great game even though I’m not exactly a Star Wars fan. As soon as I saw the main character on the story was female I could only imagine the furore it must have created upon release. A quick search proved I wasn’t wrong. Funny but also sad to see.
Wasn't anything to do with that mate, it was the jaw droppingly bad microtransactions that were essentially gambling pay to win mechanics. It was famously bad for it - so much so that EA had to remove them after politicians threatened to ban the game from countries worldwide.

Perhaps, but I saw plenty of people raging at the fact there was a female main character. I read that the game has basically made EA no money due to issues they’ve had, most likely including what you mentioned above. This makes me happy because EA are horrendous for microtranscations.
FIFA Ultimate team in particular is a joke and shouldn’t be allowed.

I do have a softspot for the game. Played it first when it went in Open beta but release was a massive shitstorm. People did not like that microtransactions were so prevalent in a full price game, on top of that it was random what you'd get if you did buy in. Pretty bad, but its been changed so much and you have to give them credit for sticking with it and improving it unlike FIFA games and any microtransactions are now only for cosmetics. I think they're still adding content now and I go back to it every now and then.
The space battles mode has been neglected though and it seems that's because of the new Squadrons game that's coming out.
