Computer games.

*right now i make around $3.99 a day, with a profit after electricity of $3.59 (thats a Radeon 6700XT at 48 Mh/s with a simple undervolt/clock to drop power consumption down to 120W)

whattomine.com is your friend here. Make sure if you are running an underclock, to put in your power usage to give you a better idea of what your costs will be.

Sweet.

I bought a 6700XT back at the end of May (mainly because it was available to buy) for $1200 NZD ($850 USD).

the amount of Ethereum I have mined since then, has a value of around $563 ($400USD). So i have gotten a great upgrade for the games i play, as well as the card has half paid for itself.

Mining gets a stigma, but ETH miners tend to underclock and undervolt the GPU, so usage and temps are generally quite low......they haven't been run to the ragged edge like most people will have you think.

And if you want any other piece of mind, LTT did a video testing the 'performance loss' of mining card of various ages and found any changes in performance to be utterly negligible and within the margin of error. The most likely part to fail is going to be a fan, and they are cheap and quite easy to replace.
I’m definitely interested. I just have reservations about leaving my PC running at all times. My living situation isn’t ideal at this moment.

I will probably do it out of fear of missing out. Like many I regret not buying Bitcoin when I was considering it (albeit never seriously).

I am so, so, sooooooo sick of remasters. Uncharted the latest one.

Just stop it.
The thing with remasters is if the devs don’t bring the mechanics up to date then they can seem incredibly dated. I bought Command & Conquer remastered, and whilst it’s a lot more polished the AI is infuriatingly stupid for 2021. It’s hard work to play as a result.

I’d prefer to see some more remakes. Some games are begging for an overhaul.

I’d prefer to see some more remakes as well, but good ones. A lot of the games that desperately need them aren’t made and the ones that don’t are remastered and remade thousands of times over. Remakes are often stripped bare of good content too which I don’t like. Too many companies milking nostalgia and not putting any heart behind it

Agreed, and this is why I'm enjoying the switch to PC. The creativity of the indie devs are pushing innovation these days. The AAA devs just seem to cherry pick the best bits and incorporate them in to their own games. PUBG v COD Warzone and all the other battle royale copycats is a good example.

They are remastering Alan Wake. The original didn't quite live up to the crazy levels of hype but it was still a solid game, id like them to do a new one with the same ambition/vision that the original had when it was first announced... the tech is there to do it now.
