Parasite Eve 2

No need to have played the first game, story is easy enough to follow.
i might have to settle for this, as i'm struggling with japanese PE1, and getting the english-language version costs around a hundred euros (!)...way over my budget for a mere game. Can't even find it on PSN.

english-language PE2 is a lot more common, around €20-30...doable as resell-value will be about same.

Dino Crisis is decent so far...done about the first hour. Tank controls and fixed screens too, like PE & RE (tho' some scenes do scroll for a bit).

Makes a nice change from intense supermodern VR-gaming. PS1/PS2-era is an endless treasure trove. Even considering looking at cult Gamecube titles (Rogue Squadron/Metroid Prime/Eternal Darkness) as the GC-compatible Wii-console can be had for peanuts.

I have it installed and have been meaning to start a new game these last few days. I like that and Terraria which is basically a 2d minecraft with many rpg elements. I haven't got too far in MC yet as I concentrated on Terraria then stardew valley.

My build was basically cut out of a mountain to start with. I also have Valheim waiting in the wings and Core Keeper both still in early access, similar type games. I think I will fire minecraft up tomorrow actually.
It’s highly addictive which I think is owing to the fact that you create your own world and game… I know Terraria but never played it.

Dude if you fire it up keep us updated. You play Java or Bedrock edition

i completed that too back when it came out...lost my mind when this happened!

think i had something like ISS Pro, Tekken & Final Fantasy saves at the time. Was racking my brains figuring out how they programmed that little trick lol don't think he named all of them explicitly, but identified them in some oblique way.

Kojima really is inventive when he has a good idea, that moment in MGS1 is a stroke of genius. Also the bit at the start in the tank hangar with the room that locks you in that you have to smoke a ciggie to reveal the hidden infra-red laser sensors in order to avoid getting locked in and gassed to death... as you smoke the bifter your life bar decreases....... incredible that.

Pre-ordered the physical copy of Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition on PS4 Pro. Never played it before but read so many positive things about that game over the years, and I really like the franchise so looking forwards to playing it through. I like physical copies of games, it feels so much more like "ownership" if that makes sense. I'd really like to see a new command and conquer game on current platforms, they were terrific. Also someone needs to get hold of Konami and get a new Silent Hill game in development. Oh and an Alien:Isolation sequel as well. Please.......

Tried it, was overcome with dread. Put the disc in the garage as far away as I could. Horrible.

Best horror game I've ever played. Worth every unfair death and jump scare......incredible when played with a good set of headphones..... landmark movie adaptation that really takes the source material and creates something special.

better than Amnesia: Dark Descent?

as a VR-nut, i've got the option to play it in virtual reality...

Loved the films, but being immersed in them and it actually haunting me round every corner and space station level, was just to much. I've enough pain already so this got annexed into the garage into the locker with the saws. Let it threaten them.

I was the same, got Parasite Eve Japanese version and couldn't progress very far because I can't read Japanese.

Parasite Eve 2 I enjoyed and followed with little to know knowledge of the first game
You could always watch you tube explained videos of the first games story, something that wasn't available to us back when the games were out

I had a bash this morning, looks like it's changed a bit since I last played. It'll take a bit to find my bearings again and remember what to do.

Managed to get a room carved out of a mountain but it was right in the middle of a mountain range and so every time I went out I struggled to find it again, never got a bed built.

I'll keep restarting while I'm figuring it out again.
