Shenmue 1 & 2 Remaster (PS4 Pro)

Never had a Dreamcast so never got to play this first time around. It's very clunky by todays standards and there's precious little "action" - but it has a weird charm and it's surprisingly absorbing and addictive once you get over the weird mechanics of it. Some of the controls are a pain and there's some annoying bits you have to repeat. Fascinating scale and ambition of it. It was apparently the most expensive video game ever produced at that time - $47 to $70 million which is incredible given it was around the year 2000. Music is great on it and the cut scenes are still impressive. A lot of focus on character and storyline. Just avoid the horrible English dub, set it to Japanese with subtitles and you'll be just fine. I like retro gaming and this is a interesting glimpse at a pre- GTA3 world.

The baddie character - Lan Di - is so compelling...

alas, he barely makes any appearances in any of the 3 games, he could've been as cult as Sephiroth! Missed opportunity.

Finished Elden Ring on hard with one hand. Bit easy but was alright.

Interested to try it out, seems to be some value in it for people like me that hasn't really played much games outside of Fifa and Gta since the Ps3 era.

Any hidden gems from Ps4 era or third party titles on Ps5 availble on the premium tier that people would recommend?

Bloodborne is a legit masterpiece and is available on PS plus - PS only game. But there are loads on there, all genres.

Jeddah track on F1 2022 is crazy. So hard to drive but bloody great fun. Very realistic.

Any of the suikoden or breath of fire rpgs are boss. Pretty expensive to get physical copies of though. Silent hill was great on it as well.

Suikoden is one of the best JRPG series.

I haven't got it but since its been a thing when I got onto my psp in the store it makes me feel like an absolute loser for not having premium and for them tactics I will not get it.

I upgraded over the weekend and got stuck into some Uncharted and Little Nightmares.

Enjoying being able to dip into random games like Steep, Pga 2021 and even randomly G1 Jockey. Games that i wouldnt buy but can pass an hour in out of interest.
