Computer games.

Hell Let Loose is fast becoming my favourite PvP game of all time. It was overwhelming at first to say the least, but I’m around 60 hours deep now and I have a much better understanding of the game to the point where I’m actually of some use.

The complete lack of focus on personal stats including the fabled K/D encourages people to actually play the objectives and not just camp and pad their stats. Only 2 snipers are permitted per team other of 50 players, too. Everyone else has old fashioned iron sights.

For me it’s got a really good balance of hardcore mechanics and arcadey elements which make it a little more accessible. Great game.

Absolutely mega game that. Difficult if I remember... The stealth was tough but logical and ultimately fair. Boss creeping along the roof of pagodas lashing shuriken at baddies

It was magic mate, One of my faves ever.
Impossible not to crane your neck as if he let's you have an early peep as you're creeping over the rooftops lol

Hope it's more like Skate 1 and 2 than Skate 3 which started vearing away from its realism routes in favour of stupid stuff you would see in Tony Hawk series.

Rogue Trooper: Redux (PS4 Pro)

Bought this a while ago and just getting around to playing it through - I loved the original 2000ad comic strip as a kid in the 80's with it's punk aesthetic, sarcastic British humour and the cool tech designs and ultra-violent action scenes. This remaster isn't the greatest game ever but it is a lot of fun, despite some of the graphics and controls showing their obvious age. The atmosphere and design of it are terrific. Unlocking all the different weapons is cool. Definitely worth a blast if you can get it fairly cheap. I hope they make a movie or TV show of this - it's got so much potential to be a future war epic.

2000AD seems like an obvious goldmine of material for games, films etc but hasn't really happened in a big way. Would be awesome to see something like Nemesis or ABC warriors get a modern treatment in another form - it was all just a step or two away from the mainstream so maybe that is the issue (and why so much of it was so good).
Also brought a lot of social commentary and grit which locates it in time - it feels late 70s / 80s imho, different sort of feel to the more timeless superhero comics.
