Computer games.

I've read some reviews and it gave me flashbacks to the numerous problematic Windows laptops I've had over the years.

Leaning towards this iPad Pro, but it's a bit much. But it has the Apple M1 chip so it's probably pretty powerful for a tablet.

Does that actually matter for your use case though? If you use it for browsing and emails it won't really make that noticeable of a difference anyway.

Possibly not, but some PDF drawings can be quite hefty.

My old work Dell PC with 12gb RAM and i5 processor really struggled. Would take 15 mins to print.

Never had that issue with Apple, but who knows.

That looks amazing, not gonna lie.

I so want to get a bit more into racing sims like iRacing and Forza and all, but don't want to fork out money for a steering wheel + shifter combo right now. Are Logitech G still good for the mid-priced entry level ones?

Logitech g920/3 or g29 are perfectly fine if you haven't used any higher end gear to notice the difference. The biggest issue they have is they do not have a loadcell brake - but if you haven't got a concrete way of bolting everything down then that might be a plus.

If you turn up the force feedback up on them they are a little noisy being gear driven. I tended to run mine at mid levels for that reason to keep it relatively quiet.

For the price I found my G25 and G29 both amazingly good purchases.

What I've read online too. Is the shifter worth it/okay as well? I'd like to get one of those too anyway so might as well go for a pack.

Think I'll be able to hold them in place really, we'll see. I'll defo ask for advice here by the time I decide to do it

Shifter works ok, but is quite light in feeling and is the weakest link in the whole package. Usually just use the paddle shifters.

Shame you aren't in the UK. Will be selling my G29, shifter and Next Level racing F-GT lite cockpit in the not too distant future.

Well, honestly hit me up and we might be able to figure something out like, I have friends travelling back home every so often, might do that, we'll see.

Shifter looked flimsy to me, I saw the set at a shop a while ago, but I suppose just for completeness I'll probably get it lol

Sure will do. Doubt you would get anyone to take the folding rig for you though, the box is huge and heavy...

Stop buying Apple.

Gamers don't use Apple.
I’m waiting for the Nvidia RTX smart watch tbh. Should be sick.
He's only buying it to scroll GOT on the loo

And he's willing to pay an extra 200 quid cos he's addicted to Apple.

Addicted to spending more like it the nerd
It's more of a case of do I need the added capability of a portable PC over the simplicity and quality assurance of what is basically an enlarged phone.

You do pay a premium for Apple products, but I’ve never had a single problem with one.

I recently got a PS4 for my son. But while he's at his mum's I've started playing Fortnite and a call of duty game and fc24. Kinda getting into it now. Can anyone recommend any cheap games that are good on this console?
