Don’t expect good FFB from games like Forza though, if you want to get most out of it games like Assetto Corsa, ACC, AMS2 are best options for someone new to a wheel.

I'll start with Forza cuz it looks cool and car go vroom - I'm much more casual when it comes to racers currently anyway and tried and liked it before, so we'll see.

AMS2 is a title I haven't tried yet but will in the future too. Lucky for me I can pirate before I buy so I have that as a bonus.
 
G920 arrived yesterday but it was wrong - came without half the needed cables and with a proprietary connector instead of USB lol

Luckily it's a legit website and they are shipping a new one for me to pick up from one of their shops, hopefully tomorrow or the day after.

I know no one's arsed like but I've got tomorrow off work and will be home alone Saturday so I'm proper fuming I can't test it out ffs

Not got a different model lined up, hope this one is the one they actually advertise and I don't have to return it again like. The one I ordered was unboxed but due to the hassle they gave me an offer of basically the same price - €20 more to pay for a brand new one.

Gives you time to get it set up at least!

Are you fixing it to a desk/table? can you put the pedals to a wall to stop them going anywhere? And most importantly have you got a chair that won't fly backwards when you stamp on the brakes?

That it does at least yeah lol

I'm fixing it to my desk and the pedals are to the wall - I tested with the wrong items that arrived (they are identical just wrong connectors/cables missing after all) as they were here anyway lol and it fits exactly how I'd like it I think. Naturally we'll see what happens when I actually play but the chair seems the weak point in that regard... I can just get a normal one for that though!

Exactly, as long as you the height of the desk isn't too tall then a normal chair with a wide leg stance would do the job. The brake pedal isn't super hard anyhow, but you need everything to stay still so you can consistently hit the amount of travel you put on the pedal lap after lap.
 
Finished Alan Wake 2 today. Didn’t play the first one so didn’t know what to expect. Boy is it weird but I thought it was great. Haven’t really played anything like it before (I’m sure there are similar things but I haven’t played them). Would definitely recommend.
