Computer games.

I saw this was meant to be good. Played it and there was an early driving mission. Driving mechanics are atrocious. Uninstalled it after that.

The Batmobile sections are disappointing, there is one mission late on that’s frustrating however imo it doesn’t ruin what is a great game particularly the combat.

Seems they aced it

That looks amazing, not gonna lie.

I so want to get a bit more into racing sims like iRacing and Forza and all, but don't want to fork out money for a steering wheel + shifter combo right now. Are Logitech G still good for the mid-priced entry level ones?

Most wheels come with paddle shifters so no need to buy a separate shifter. You'd need a wheel/base/pedals

The bundles I'd recommend for first time users are as follows

Fanatec Ready to Race Bundle (id personally go with one with a 8nm base, 5nm is quite weak in terms of FFB, although its possible to upgrade your 5nm base to 8nm at a later date)

(you'd also need to get a table clamp for the base)

Moza Bundle

(again you'd need to get a table clamp as well, moza's table clamp works with both Fanatec and Moza wheels and is the best one out there)

If this is too expensive then you could just go down the Logitech G923 or G29 route but it's belt-driven and the pedals are quite janky relative to what you get from Fanatec and Moza's starter bundles. Logitech does a direct drive bundle as well btw but it's a lot more expensive than G923 and whilst more than good enough it's probs not on the level of Moza and Fanatec... that said you will have excellent support from Logitech, Fanatec and Moza are both quite small companies in comparison and thus their support can take a while.

Lots of videos on Youtube that go into far more detail

Very informative mate and thank you for this but due to shipping prices and the importers being so few, Fanatec and Moza both cost closer to €500 at least for me.

Saw the videos you posted and some other ones and I'll go with the Logitech one really.

I've just found a €200 G920 bundle though so I am jumping on that literally right now lol

G920 is more than good enough to get started.

Don’t expect good FFB from games like Forza though, if you want to get most out of it games like Assetto Corsa, ACC, AMS2 are best options for someone new to a wheel.

Yeah… um…

Machine configuration and implementation

While every Apple product comes complete with a copy of macOS plus the licensing you need to operate your machine, the same can’t be said for a PC. A PC user must purchase the operating system (most likely Windows OS)
Well that's totally untrue for a start. Pretty much every pre-built Windows pc/laptop will come with Windows installed/licensed, and W10 was basically free to everyone (even ppl who didn't have legit W7 when it came out). Only ppl who might have to buy Windows are ppl who build their own pcs, and afaik you can't do that with a Mac (?), so it's not a relevant comparisson. I haven't bought an OS in ~25 years.

Very much wrong when you think corporate, which is where MS makes most of their money.

The Apple backbone/infrastructure is ridiculous to put together as it only works with itself so this whole article is not worth the read imho.

E: do you think you don't incur extra cost for the OEM license for a prebuilt?!
