Yankie's put it up them, and they didnt like it.

Some proper 100% work rate and steaming into the Spiccies so they couldnt find their flow. Howard made some good saves, Dempsey's turned into a good player.

Michael Bradley's just got a good engine on him and can pass a ball....still wouldnt hrow money at him though. Should never have been sent of though.

There's no need for that, lid.

Well chuffed, wanted them to go all the way!

What was up with the officials btw. Bradley's red card wasn't even a booking, and they should have had 2 one on ones but the linesman was blind and flag happy.

Impressive... to say the least.

Almost counted out before the game against Egypt, and with help they progressed into the semi and dumped out Spain!

Why? It's the scorpion and the frog. Because it is their nature. they can't help it. The best bet in sports is that the US will get a red card in an international match. Sometimes they deserve it, but there are many instances like today as well.

Timmeh was massive today. Really proud of the US squad - the work rate and ability to absorb on the defense end was a wonder. I still can't believe the Spanish didn't get one in. Now all we have to do is get over Brazil. Ricky who? :o

Quick edit. If the US beat Spain today - anything is possible. Premature... Stevie P. and his mates may have one up their sleeve - who can know?

YEAH BOYS !!!!

GET IN !!!!

That's the USA team that I've been waiting to have show up.

Red card was a joke but then again, it isn't a USA match without one of our players being sent off.

Question: How many Finals did Torres, Alonso, Riera, Arbeloa and Reina reach this season?

Answers on a very small postcard please, no sorry, make that a postage stamp.

:unsure:Oh well theres always redtube.

And I tipped the US from the start, always said they could do well.:dodgy:

i never thought i'd say this, but i'm too happy to even gloat (y)

i had to work today, so i texted all my friends and told them not to mention the game to me so i could watch it when i got home

i forgot to mention it to my boss though, who emailed me "Are you watching the game? US up 2-0 in the 83rd minute"

i was dangerously close to a melt down, and overjoyed at the same time.

some of the more patriotic people on this site may not like this statement, but i can't think of any other moment where i've been this proud to be american.
