I'll tell you something davek, you wouldn't believe the relief of a lot staff at Finch farm. Moyes took over the whole place, now they can get control back.
 
Am I alone in thinking it's actually great that Roberto wants to deliver CL football, feels confident that he should say it to Kenwright but a little bit annoyed that Kenwright has made this public admission to heap pressure on him. Was it really necessary - or is it in fact Roberto's wish that he said it (in which case great on him for allowing it)?

I bet they threw a party when Sergeant Major McMoyes closed the gate behind him.

But let's hope they dont start to take the piss too much with the new man.

I think they must've spoken about what they were going to say and I'm sure Roberto could've asked him not to say it but he wants to show off his ambitions and there is nothing wrong with that IMO

And people who really understand will know that he didn't mean right away and has gone on too detail his plans for the future

Probably kenwright, doubt a man who has just relegated a team would have delusions of getting a club with less financial muscle than Wigan into the most lucrative club competition in the world.

He's not a big name manager, therefore he has to prove himself, and if he doesn't he's out the door IMO. Everton should not be the safest job in world football just because we're a "nice club".

Patience, yes, but not stupidity. He's taking over a top six club. If he doesn't at the very least maintain that stature 18 months from now, he should be out the door.

He's going to need a period of getting to grips with the job and putting his ideas in place mate. It's not like when Moyes took it where avoiding relegation would be an instant success and generate goodwill, the club is in a good position for it's financial position (even if in a not great position for it's history and expectation) so it will be hard for him to make progress that Moyes struggled to. Even maintaining Moyes consistency in his first year would be a major success.

Unless were flirting with relegation and all over the place then sacking him by Christmas would be ludicrous.
