Looking at that aborted Pogacar attack today: I think he abandoned that too quickly. The motorbike camera crews were two abreast, but one shifted smartly to the edge of the road and if Pogacar had kept up his momentum he could have slipped through the two.

Sums up the past few days in the mountains to me that: UAE are way too cautious and Pogacar has lost his nerve a bit.

Maybe he's over thinking this...or maybe he believes Vingegaard has something in reserve.

The bikes thing was unfortunate, but they couldn't really get out of the way due to the crowds, which raises the question of why he went, he would have seen this on the road ahead. UAE need to take more risks, Sepp Kuss (sp) will sit at the front for Vingegaard all the way through he did it last year, UAE need to find a way to disrupt that, earlier than they did today. Pog tried it with Yates but not to the same effect, by the time Yates got back he was spent.

Yeah I dunno he's definitely riding different to last year, It was clear he wasn't interested in the Green Jersey very early on, when he basically took the day off for one of the sprint stages, and haven't seen him do much of anything really. We may see more of him this week as we get down to the pointy end

I think it's a matter of time before Pogacar takes yellow. I'm surprised he didn't attack from further out yesterday up the Grand Colombier. His team director needs sacking if that was the plan to attack so near the top.

The two camera bikes did him today. Quite outstanding nobbling.

He jumped at the point he had prepared for and was prevented by the two camera bikes. The surprise and kick was negated. He takes the full bonus at the top no doubt from there. It isn't the first time inepters have screwed the tour.

Being discussed currently, if you're going to put time bonus on the peak of a climb, put some barriers on as well to ensure clear racing as well as safety.

No, was just looking at the footage again and the guy next to the JV rider who was hit by the spectator really cracked their head on the way down. Looked horrible.

Seemed like a crazy time to try and take a bottle on the corner of a descent but yeah, nasty looking crash. Hopefully he's okay.
