David Moyes - Tactically Inept

Oooh i've offended the usa :0 people of britain be prepered for an unlawful invasion.

I'm from Liverpool. I just found it hilarious that you attempted to make some negative generalisation and then say "no offence" at the end as if you didn't mean any.

Any decent professional footballer will say if you are good enough, you are old enough.
It might be that we fans are putting too much faith in wanting/wishing these kids to be stars. Hoping beyond hope because we are desperate and can not afford to buy quality at the moment.
The fans logic being that the kids could not do much worse than the more established players being picked.
I would give them a chance, but not all at once.

cahill done a good job are you having a laugh... they did well for the best they can do in that position in terms of the best they can do in the premiership it was utter sunday league football

It clearly wasnt - we were on top for all of the first half - we aren't equipped to play flowing attractive football at the moment, and are needing to grind out results.

I agree that Cahill has been woefully out of form for a long time - but in the circumstances today i thought he did ok, and put himself about.

In what way are we on top? Passing the ball sideways chalking up possession percentage while doing nothing to threaten their goal is consider on top?

Sorry mate, we were struggling to create anything is much more appropriate description.

Today Moyes could have used Vellios, Straq, Barkley, Gueye, McFadden and McAleney. Instead he opted to start with 6 defensive players and two forwards who are woefully out of form. The opposition lost half their defence to injury over the course of the match and yet Moyes didn't think to try and capitalise on it until there were just 6 minutes remaining. The manager has had a shocking season.

Sunderland were there for the taking.

Pip, Tim and Louis were under-performing and brought little or nothing to the team.

Sky said it was the oldest side (in terms of average age) we had ever put out in the Prem (or EVER - I wasn't paying attention. LOL!).

A few youngsters (anyone under 30!) and we would have ran them ragged.

I feel sorry for our supporters who travelled all that way to witness THAT.

Utter utter tosh!!. you have been listening to the king of the excuse for to long.

But Everton is the place to come if you're a youngster. I don't know what Moyes is thinking with McAleney, Vellios and Barkley, but I don't think he's doing there confidence much good. Same with Gueye actually. He's shown some promise in short bursts. The logical thing would be to give him progressively longer amounts of game time to help him to pace himself and build up some stamina.

I can't believe you guys are taking about this man like this...I mean he's got us to an F.A Cup final once in 10 years and we lost, irreplaceable.

I dont think its utter tosh tbh, there are arguments for both sides - today we had fellaini, Coleman and rodwell out, we have lost our two most creative players in the last year and havent replaced them - apart from playing Barkley from the start i dont think there is much else he could have done.

Bily is obviously on his way, vellios / Straq are impact subs atm .

I think whats frustrating most fans is this unwillingnes to play Barkley. I would understand he might not be ready for a cm berth but surely he would add something in a wide berth - i think he pissed off moyes when he gave away a pen at Blackburn - since then he hasnt really had a sniff.

It's plain to see saha and cahill are on a downward spiral and its worrying...

On Barkley not being ready - if you're good enough, you are old enough. Did anyone wait for Messi to get old enough so he could start playing more often? Did Wenger wait for Wilshere to be older to play him against Barcelona? If age was something that should be regarded for players, then we would not have C. Ronaldo, too. Not to mention Barcelona themselves wouldn't exist, as won't Real Madrid, United and quite a lot more rich teams. Even the RS have started playing youngsters, FFS! And we supposedly have one of the best academies in Ingurland, so why is no one playing in the first team at the moment? I mean not week in-week out, but I'd like to see SOMEONE given an extended chance. Sadly it won't happen, as Moyes takes no risks. Have you heard the old saying "fortune favours the brave"? We're as brave as [Poor language removed] to be fair - playing 8 defenders and all that, and giving youngsters an extended 2 minute chance, in which they, unless alien, won't perform and then Moyes will say "he's not ready". How do you know if he's ready if you give him 5 minutes? That proves absolutely nothing to anyone. If I was a good prospect, I would chose someone else over Everton.

Oh, and you don't want them to carry us? They won't, no one wants Moyes to play the academy instead of the first team. Would you be more excited about this formation
Howard
Coleman - Jags - Heitinga/Distin - Baines
Drenthe - Fellaini - Rodwell - Gueye
Osman/Barkley
Vellios/Stracqalursi

Or our current one? Note that this could also turn into a 4-4-2 very easy, as the AMC just gets subbed by one of the mentioned already strikers.
Be honest about this.

And yes, Moyes is tactically inept. Inept is even such a generous word for him at the moment, that it's unbelievable. ANYONE who refuses to see how bad the team is performing, and certain individuals in it, is deluded, to say the least. I have no comment about someone who would pick such a team week in, week out, based on favouritism, not performances.

I have more stuff to say, but gotta go at the moment, so it's only that.
From the typical Moyes defenders I'd expect no answers to anything I said and, instead, more questions given.
