David Moyes

People seem to think that bringing Moyes back will make the team get back to the highs of what he achieved in his first stint here. He was given time the first time around, I think we had a very poor season where we were 16th or 15th early on, but I for one cannot forget the way he left us. He knew full well he was been lined up for the United job but let on that a new contract would sort itself out towards the end of the season. That was a hell of a kick in the stomach for the fans, so for me he burnt his bridges with us when he left, and achieved very little after.

i think i would like to give lee carsley a go if dyche ever leaves
If Sean Dyche did choose to leave then I would like to see a Moyes/Carsley joint management team.

Carsley is too inexperienced to manage a club like Everton with all it's problems and Moyes may now like the idea of sharing the role taking some of the pressure from him.

However, I think SD is here for quite some time.

We would need to stock up the cutlery drawer at finch farm with new knives for all the gunfights he would be taking us to. Other operating costs would be through the roof in the accounts. Masters would be lining up another points deduction. Its a nah from me.

It doesn't look like there's an obvious managerial position for him at any PL club for next season. He might have to sit out for a year or hope someone gets sacked mid-season.
*Takes punt on a long odds bet - he'll be at Ipswich before Christmas

I think hes a better version of dyche , as he is known for astute recruitment on the cheap so we wouldn't need a dof and he actually tries to develop youth players. Also more versatile and even though pragmatic at times how shown his teams can score goals , I'd rather someone else but I'd take him over dyche despite the fact this season results have been decent overall taking in consideration the circumstances

I'll always respect Moyes for what he did with us for the majority of his 11 years but people need to realise that there really isn't much difference between him and Dyche these days. The table from Jan onwards tells you they've been as bad as us, and there is a lot more talent in that squad and they spend like a top 7/8 team:

I think WHU are treating him a bit harshly but it's the reality of the job. They finished 14th last season and have been very poor in 2024.

Personally I think it's for the best, he's probably taken West Ham as far as he can take them. He can hold his head up high for how he turned them round and won a trophy.

Moyes has always been a class act and a true professional and his time at Goodison will always stay near to my heart and there is no doubt in my mind that Everton will be the team he is always associated with. I think he is a fantastic manager.

But this comment is more about how West Ham have treated him...

In all my years I don't think I have ever seen a manager - especially of his caliber - treated so disrespectfully as this. He has achieved great things for West Ham and yet they go and announce a new manger while he is still in charge. Absolutely disgusting and insulting to Davey Moyes. The cringe level of the Premier League just keeps rising...

My hopes for next season -

1. Everton are never even close to the relegation battle

2. Man City don't win the league

3. West Ham get relegated

I remember Mr Moyes skipping joyously down the road when he jibbed us off .
No sympathy for him whatsover.

Read somewhere that West Ham had lined up a few signings in January but Moyes said we will just take Phillips from City and go with what we have.
I heard that and thought Moysey all over, we heard that a few times didn't we?

Utterly bizarre the lack of respect West Ham fans (and their owners tbf) have for the job Moyes has done.

He won a European trophy FOR WEST HAM.

They should be building him a bloody statue.
