2024/25 David Moyes

Zero pace at all though mate was what struck me, Campbell I think was in his twilight days and faded, Fergie pre Newcastle return and permanently crocked as well.

Graveson and Carsley walk into our side ofc, as does unworth, Weir I'd take over Tarks actually but Branthwaite above either him or Stubbs, if the Tarks over Stubbs too tbf.

Watson I never rated.

Out the current side I'd definitely take Ndiaye, Pickford, Branthwaite though graveson and Carsley out the old for certain, unworth too, Weir over Tarks in a best 11 also.

It's very similar.

Believe it or not, we have 17 points from 19 games when Moyes arrived. So almost identical.

''I think we might be gone, tbh.

Regardless of how much of a scumbag he is I'll be hopping to be proved wrong on Moyes.

The club is much more important than winning debates over managers and owners.

But I look at this situation now as all but lost. The squad was Dyche's and they were playing for him and even though many knew they wont be here next season they would have continued to put it in.

Moyes knows no one in this team starter wise and really only Coleman who he can hand a game to.

Unless he's allowed to bring 3/4 players in this January I think that's it. And, tbf, without those extra players I dont think anyone else gets us safe.

This past 24 hours has been a disaster and almost certainly relegated us.''

Wasn't this you the other day big man?
That's de-contextualised caricature of my position.

I thought he came in with 9 games left in his first spell? We had about 30 points didn’t we? I remember thinking we’d actually done alright that season but Smith had just completely lost the players then back end of the season when we lost 6 in a row I think and went out the cup and the trajectory felt worse than the points total at the time actually was. I think Ipswich went down on only a few points more than we had when we fired Smith.

He came in after 29 games and he won 4 games out of 9 and we ended up 15th which was similar league position to when he took over. The difference being we were in a nosedive and he arrested that quickly with back to back wins in his first 2 games.
