I've said it for ages on here but there's been a formula to beat Everton at home for the past 5 years (if you're a team outside the top 6)

-Soak up our meager attempts on goal due to our poor footballing ability
-let the crowd get anxious and frustrated
-Everton players lose the head and start trying stuff they're not capable of

He plays because we don't have anybody else either.

Dyche took Doucoure out of the team earlier in the season and then Garner got injured so he had to come straight back in.

I'd say Tim has been a bigger miss. A midfielder who is box to box and passes forwards. Our midfield is just so static. When your playing 3 midfielders, you need at least one to be progressive with the ball.

People tend to forget we create decent amount of chances and decent amount of goals when Iroe was playing. He was, or close to, man of the match every game.

All he did was excellent recoveries and a fantastic habit or driving forward with the ball, catching unprepared defence regularly, creating lots of 3v3 4v4 situations. Nothing intricate, nothing complicated. It’s not rocket science.

I don’t think you need training sessions to see Doucoure is poor with the ball, he’s in the team for ‘legs’ unfortunately when he wins it back he almost hands it back to them.

I don’t think anyone works harder off the ball.
