2024/25 David Moyes

But we didn’t get a draw, we didn’t score AGAIN. Can’t decide if that tepid performance was better or worse than the reverse fixture where we threw away the 2 goal lead.
We were having matches were we did not even have shot on goal at best 1 maybe 2. That cant be changed overnight the players have been coached to hold the line don't risk breaking formation for just short of two years now.
Moyes has had one maybe 2 training sessions to start taking and creating the game of football to opponents.

You cant coach being clinical, it has and will continue to undermine every attempt a manager will make at implementing a system

Well no, and Moyes best Everton of the past was short of that clinical striker that would have very likely brought success. Moyes does find other positions to score from. If no one cant really see the improvement last night to what we saw at Bournemouth Forest etc. Don't believe, you are serious or football is not your thing.

The fans have destroyed his confidence.

I think injuries, but he's not a natural finisher by any means and he doesn't have that resilience of someone like Maguire to come back stronger.

And DCL has been among the worst finishers in the league for several seasons now. It's too easy just to blame the managers that in majority were bad in the last few years.

Having a conversation with Dyche about the players and picking the exact same team Dyche would've picked is a concern, last night was a chance to change formation and/or change personnel and try to freshen things up.

Picking the same team and same tactics that have failed all season isn't the recipe for a change of results.

Is this true? That would be incredibly concerning, why would he be seeking advice from the fella he replaced who was sacked for not being good enough?

I've always like him even with the handbags.

You have been consistent in your support of him, well done.

But this did pop up.
