2024/25 David Moyes

I thought it was better, but clearly still not good enough.
I dunno, we didn't get many shots in and kept giving the ball away sloppily. I didn't see any difference at all.

Not that I was expecting to as again, it was the same players! It's going to take a bit of time and some new players.

Thing is Moyes was saying he wants the players to do a bit more and to get more out of them, but they didn't down tools or anything under Dyche, they are just not good enough collectively.

We created a couple of clear chances and had a clear penalty not given. That's already an improvement on recent weeks.

Better than other games, but still nowhere near good enough

Sean Dyche after we lost to Bournemouth..

'The lad put in a decent cross and then Jarrad ducks out the way of it going in the goal. He’ll only know why he did that.'
They're his team and he knew how far to go.

Moyes is an interloper here. He should remember it.

He's come into this club and everything he's stated so far gives me the impression he believes himself to be re-established leader who's proven himself here and if it goes arse up it's not down to him.

He needs to get his head out of his arse and start signing players and coaching them.

Some of our fans are living in cloud cookoo land.

" The performance was better "

" Dyche coached technique out of players "

" Patterson should start "

The common denominator is the players are sub standard to our competitors and the quality year on year has got worse for the past 5 years.
Yeah but "Dychettes etc etc etc"

Precisely. People have a fundamental inability/unwillingess to appreciate multiple things can be true at the same time.

Saying it was better doesn't mean we were any good or suddenly means we're going to be fine.

Saying it was rubbish doesn't mean we didn't still create more than we have recently, let alone the pretty shocking non penalty.

A moomin and davek masterclass here today. What a wonderful day ahead of us.

Just checked and 5 players who started last night also played in Franks final game as manager.

Clear chances not converted and a pen not given for no reason.

Sounds exactly like the past few years to me!

Don't get me wrong I am not saying it wont get better but the same players and same system will result in pretty much the same results. Villa had an off game last night too (at least attacking wise)

Some of our fans are living in cloud cookoo (Cuckoo) land.

" The performance was better " - Definitely Better

" Dyche coached technique out of players " - Coached the confidence out of the players

" Patterson should start " - An option off the bench

All that was better about last night was the energy from the players. Though it was more akin to headless chickens than a coherent football side for much of the game.

They are not good enough to play front foot, attacking football. We may create a few more chances, but barring Ndiaye the quality of the attacking players is poor so we can't expect an immediate upturn in performances.

Doubt anyone at the club is going to be paying inflated January prices to bring in second rate players this month. Only hope that if Broja's loan is terminated, then that spot is used wisely.

Attacking players are devoid of confidence.

And before you say they get paid massive amounts of money, have you seen Haaland recently?

Confidence is shot.
