2024/25 David Moyes

This will sound weird but I'll take losing to Villa but pressing a bit more and having chances than Sean Dyche's defensive football that gets a draw without ever trying to score. Playing for 0-0 would get you relegated. Lots of good signs on Wednesday, just need to build around our best players.

The good thing about Moyes at Everton last time was in the absence of a proper striker every player had a scoring instinct. Bring that back and we'll be sound.

Another ‘fan’ who would love us to go down to prove a point.
I thought they’d have left the forum by now, they have guaranteed us relegation for three years now.
Mate do you fancy reading the context . Somebody asked a question , I answered it . I’ve no desire to go down , I’ve no desire for Moyes to fail I’d like him to be a huge success .

This. We don’t have a stellar team. But we have enough pieces to stay up comfortably. What Moyes doesn’t have is loyalty to all the Burnley players or dislike of certain lads or criteria for being PL ready. Hopefully Moyes assembles what he sees as the best team he can put forward. He shouldn’t be looking to keep people happy but whatever it takes to win.

I keep telling you, he's 73 years old and he's dead.

He had better players last time around.

Just gone through his transfer record at West Ham since he returned there. Actually not that great IMO. Soucek, Bowen were the main two. Apart from that no one special really

Since he left we've had managers that have gone onto manage Real, Barca and took a team to a lead a team to 3rd on the FIFA rankings... and we've been constantly on tye decline.

Ever bleeding ton.

When he left the club was near the bottom of the table fighting relegation.
It wasn't all his fault the chairman ran out of funds from what i can recall. David Moyes did well for us first time around for sure.

Joe Royle's record of the trophy, and signing what is in my opinion our best player of the PL era in Andrei Kanchelskis, means Big Joe is higher up in the rankings for me.

Joe took over when we were in serious trouble, he kept us up with a fair bit to spare won us the trophy, and we were very unlucky not to qualify for Europe the following year.

Joe never lost a derby game either. He had that lot shitting their pants whenever they played us!

If Moyes win a trophy for us in his second stint as manager, then i might have another look at and consider revising this opinion though!

Yes, forgot about them haha. But yeah you’re right. He got a good loan spell out of Lingard too I think.
He also had a deal agreed with Onana before Lampard called him and convinced him to join us. He won’t get every signing right no manager does, even he said he has got it wrong on signing before, but I feel he gets a lot more right than wrong. I’m confident that if we can get to the summer in this league, then he is capable of building a team for us to start looking up and not down.
