Really struggling with this signing , I just don't lIke the guy , end of .

By the time he reached 21, he had the same number of goals and assists as Gerrard, Beckham and Lampard had combined at the same age.

That is exceptional, for me.

But in the 4 years since he has been so poor for multiple managers. Attitude problems. Lack of effort in training and in games. Losing posession so much. One of my friends are a Tottenham fan and they said "he lost his edge". They were very frustrated with him because they know how good he can be.

That does not mean he can not get his edge back, but what will Lampard do that Conte, Mourinho and Nuno did not?

I swear I have heard the better at the same age as Gerard, lampard and scholes before …. Oh .. that’s right , that’s what people used to say when I said Barkley was crap

Think they will very rarely play together

Really. Personally I think they will.

It will be all Allan, De Beek and Ali. Doucoure may struggle to get back in when fit, if it works.
He couid play a diamond, which he did at Derby.

End of the day, Gomes offers nothing defensively and is a liability, or going forward. Davies is better defensively, but not great. And again offers nothing on the ball or going forward.

If at worse case scenario, de Beek is as bad defensively, but offers a lot more going forward, then it’s a win win. Also Ali will probably offer a bit midfield cover from the 10 role, than Richarlison or even Townsend, as it’s more his natural game. Don’t get me wrong Richarlison and Townsend work hard, but not used to playing that role

To be honest i dont, well i didnt, but now he plays for us. An English goal scoring midfielder playing for one of the best goalscoing midfielders, even though he is only 25 if he balls up at Everton he wont be getting too many more chances, certainly not at a top 8 side

I used to dislike Dele Ali because he kept Barkley out of the England national setup when the Bark was with us.

Now, if he does that again and keeps the Bark out of reckoning at Everton return, I will be joyous.

If we can get him firing he will be a game changer. Put it this way if he's average for 18 games and excels in 20 games that's a lot better than what we've got.

No he didn't.

He said we have heard this type of comparison before...the "better than Lampard / Scholes / Gerrard before the age of 21 "....and that was for Barkley.

if we can get him back to his form under Pochettino , we have a real gem of a player on our hands

if not, seems like we only pay when he hits 20 games ,so not too bad regardless
