DCL was being touted at 60m ? These are our two most sellable assets and are important players for us… ali has been frozen out by 3 managers , has hardly played and has done f all for about 2 years, is on massive wages and they want him out … he’s their equivalent to our bolasie , gomes , tuson etc …. As in we can’t shift them …. 40m is ridiculously expensive for him .

I'm looking at our attacking options now and Gordon on the right is essential for balance.
On the left we have Richarlison, Gray and Alli all vying for game time (Alli can play as a 10 but I dont see him operating there for us).

Dave, there is now way Alli will be playing or vying for a spot on the left of the front 3.
Everyone has to impress a new manager, and he will get first chance. That's an advantage for him. I know it's only a cup tie, but we need to win matches for confidence and Saturday is a big game.

Well, we all know one person who's over the moon about this transfer:
Except the bag of money is empty for at least 6 months.
He can play in 18 games for us this season, which means if he plays all of them, which will probably not even happen.
In accountancy terms this is probably one of the better deals we have done... I don't see anything wrong with it, if he is a success we pay for it, but when we have paid £45m for the invisible Icelandic, it could be an immense deal.
See absolutely nothing wrong with this, or even suggesting its a bad deal.
