As @UltraVires rightly mentioned, on paper you'd say yes as he showed his talent at Spurs albeit early on, but when was the last time he actually performed?Is he useful?
If yes, play him.
For whatever reason, he has yet to start a game for us and there's been a few games where you'd have felt he may have been considered. The same as a sub.
I want him to succeed because we could do with him right now although currently Lampard appears to not be able to rely on him. So the question is, why?
Then, ultimately why buy him or who authorised the deal? The structure of the deal has been mentioned regularly, but Spurs have had his wages off the books.Maybe he has a minimum appearance fee.
It feels more and more as if the deal has benefited them and will continue to do so far more than it will us.
