Im not saying thats not the going rate etc - but we really need to be sure he is the right player - and not just jumping because he is on a free.

I would say his scoring record is pretty good. If you take his record as it is now into the next season, he would be scoring 16 goals for us, thats pretty good and alot more than our forwards this year in the league. If you add in the fact he will be playing with better players to give him more opportunitites you could be close to 20 goals a season, just what we need to push us up a bit further in the league

He would be an improvement in our squad , I have no doubt about this , he is a proper player providing all the correct tests are done on his knees , if we can do the same test as we must have done on Lescott who had 2 bad knees then that's good enough for me , there's not much competition in our squad TBF we know Saha will be out injured again for long spells and we know Jermaine Beckford will score goals but it's a MUST he plays with a partner because playing on his own, were better playing with 10 men especially away from home

It's a very average record. I think mostly it's his performances for a poor west ham side that's encouraging

Haha i aint asking as if to say we could use it to give Ba's agent so we signed him, i just wondered cos i saw in the dailly mirror (yeah, i know) that we havent got a penny until we sell Yobo and Yak and i just wondered if we did have the Pienaar money in the kitty still.

So to your knowledge, what do we have in the kitty if we add up the Pienaar and Vaughan money, aint it much?.

Beckford will score...but he'll also be sussed out as I dont think he's got the extra dimension in his locker.

Ba offers a rounded striker who will create his own chances and not rely too much on service. Add him with what we've got and Cahill....if it went well, you'd get bored of watching the goals fly in.

The fee sounds good that wont break the bank and add Vellios and Silva hoping to get a chance, I'd say the strike force will be done for next season.

We'd then have to concentrate on a winger and a creative midfielder and hope to keep Rodwell (which I think we will) and Fellaini (dunno) then we'll be gravy

Just a reminder here. He's only 26, requires a comparatively small transfer fee and has a better record at high level footie than anyone on our books already.

26. Seemingly free, bar agent fees/wages. Good scoring record.

Would you lot rather have Bothroyd or something?

Controversial, i think the Yak still has it tbh, but your right hes out of love with us and irrelevent, im not sure Demba could hit the Yak heights though. Dont get me wrong ive been inpressed by the lid but im not expecting more then 15 goals a season from him IF he comes. When you consider we generally play 1 up front and 50 -60 goals gets you in and around Europe with a sturdy defence that a hell of a lot of goals that need to come from midfeild and else where.

Mate , WTF is it on here with figures ???

This much / that much .. Right now , its early ..

There WILL be MORE outgoings , so , PERHAPS , hes lookin' to get a Fund , as it were , rather than do it in piecemeal , as it were .

Just a theory ...
