I'm not having this "Nothing will be the same" until it isn't.
Has it been denied yet? Pretty easy to do so I would have thought. And not very bright of a tv presenter to wilfully make up the words of a billionaire I wouldn't have thought.Would you believe a word of the statement after that from White?
His cv is two PL finishes of 7th and 6th. Let's not go overboard. He was a great player. He isn't a great manager, not so far he isn't anyway. The fact we can defend better is enough for me as an improvement. Could Everton have attracted a higher profile proven manager? I doubt it.

So on this occasion I'm going to say 'yes, I do believe it'.
This isn't a meltdown thread. It's pretty conservative in tone and what's being demanded. It's simply this: tell us where we're going and tell us how you see us getting there. This thread should be renamed Chernobyl.
And what to you expect them to say? 'We're downsizing the club in the desire to become the best local club in the North West Counties League'. No. It'll be the usual statement of every new board that comes into a football club that they want to bring the glory days back to X and that European football is on the agenda. It's trite garbage that just serves to give fans wet dreams and sooner or later is used to beat a board to death with. This isn't a meltdown thread. It's something that at any major club in this league would have been issuing to its fans when there was a takeover of this magnitude. But instead we have nada, zip, nowt, nothing...and if that's not good enough for other top clubs it's not good enough for us neither.
Surely a statement of intent is best made on the pitch. We're unbeaten in three games so far and have looked vastly improved from last two seasons, don't see why there's so much doom and gloom really.
