If he played over the park treble his goal tally as they whip crosses in ....as most top six teams do ......both him & Rhico missed six chances last night DCL two ......

Should have scored yesterday, his game is suffering as our game is to predictable than what it was in the first half of the season.

Could you elaborate on that one mate. He still had 2 great chances to score. I'm not sure how we play the game has anything to do with him missing those chances.

Lads like him and Davies are the first to hold their hands up when they know they have let themselves down. He's clearly a capable striker and the palace keeper had a worldie.

The Palace keeper should never have been given a chance to save either of his chances last night. DCL made both of them easy for him.

I like DCL but he's obviously hit a barren patch, he should have enough confidence in one on one situations to either chip the goalie or go round them.

All well & good but missed four easier chances look the to both strikers they got little support from the rest of the team .......I have seen games where Thick does very little , but it's a team game .....

The service argument doesn't work when you are played through the middle 1 v 1 in both halves.

Dom has already admitted himself he's very disappointed. It was nothing to do with service and just a lack of composure. He knows that himself.

He's the type who will definitely work and work to get better but yesterday was a concern because he didn't look like he was natural in those positions.

This is the nub for me- it's all about if and how he can go about improving in these scenarios. If he was a seasoned 28 / 29yr old striker doing it consistently I'd be more alarmed by it.

Granted it is frustrating now, but I'd rather be in a position where he can look to improve. Unfortunately football doesn't do long term or even mid term thinking.

This is the nub for me- it's all about if and how he can go about improving in these scenarios. If he was a seasoned 28 / 29yr old striker doing it consistently I'd be more alarmed by it.

Granted it is frustrating now, but I'd rather be in a position where he can look to improve. Unfortunately football doesn't do long term or even mid term thinking.

Strikers largely dont improve their finishing its natural instinct imo.

Easier to teach someone to shield or head a ball than it is to have the natural composure/ability to curl in a worldie strike or round a keeper and slot it in an open net etc
