Cant always blame it on the midfield. We arn't playing Bayern Munich's at Goodison every week { thank god } We;re playing Burnley / Sheff Utd / Palace ffs. He wouldnt get SEVEN goal scoring chances against Bayern. Be lucky if he got ONE !!!

On twitter stating how Blues fans have highlighted him unfairly for criticism should have posted his sincere reply on this thread ......he was sincere about his two chances - nothing from Rhico over his four chances plus his childish behaviour over that free kick .....

Morning joey mate, just letting you know it's ok to say DCL is in poor form without having to compare him to kane or "rhico" in every single post.

Strikers miss chances, everyone does including kane and lewandowski etc but the problem is DCL missed almost every one on one he has.

Glad we cleared this up

Rhico is our player in the same game behaved appallingly also missed four easier chances - yet you put the boot in n DCL - glad we have cleared that up......

Sorry, I think my post didn’t read very well.

I was asking if that’s why you think he’s missing chances, in response to your post saying he’s potentially had his head turned hearing other people’s wages.

Joey, we can all see Richy was equally at fault Vs palace, they both missed glorious chances. However my beef with DCL is that this is a very regular occurrence for him, Richy has shown he knows how to finish neatly, DCL repeatedly scuffs and messes up his one on ones. Richy has also contributed more than 2/3 goals in his last 15 games, and even when he's not scoring and missing chances he's still up and down the pitch, tracking back, making things happen... When DCL isn't scoring which is most of the time he offers absolutely nothing, as others have pointed out he's not even a workhorse anymore, he just strolls around with his moody haircut waiting to miss chances

Instead of just shooting everyone down with your ober aggressive defence of DCL, why don't you point out what I've said is wrong?

DCL aplogised on twitter for his misses ....Rhico nothing .....your on the wron track as per get off his back you are wrong the stats prove that ....leading goal scorer.....DCL .....when he starts scoring again you will disappear like many others who pre season stated he was a championship player at best....

Your fuming because Richy hasn't come out on twitter saying sorry for missing chances ahahhahahaa no one wants him too, missing chances is part of being a striker ( some more than others it seems )

The stats prove he's our leading scorer, who has denied he is? The stats don't prove he can finish, or he's not over his purple patch. The stats prove he isn't very good at finishing one on one chances, or scoring from outside the pen box, the stats prove he's scored 2/3 goals in his last 15 games, stays prove he's gone on 2 2/3 month spells in his whole Everton career where he's looked like a good forward.

He hasn't proved me wrong in the slightest, when the lad can go longer than a dozen games playng well I'll change my mind, when the lad learns how to kick a ball properly I'll change my mind.

He actually tried to hit the ball through the goalie, no composure at all. Get in a top striker and have him as back up .

It's a tricky thing to describe DCL. He's hard working, fights for everything, gets into the right places in the box and scores goals where we never used to (close range tap in's.) Some take it as an insult when saying he only scores tap in's, but they're crucial. I remember being jealous of teams like United who would always have someone there to finish it off when a ball came bouncing in.

BUT, he's our main striker and whilst he's got strengths, his weaknesses worry me. Far too often this season I've seen him presented with a 1 on 1 chance and he looks like a fish out of water. If Monday was a one off, you can put it down to a bad day at the office, but how often is this happening? It's fine if you're 3-0 up and cruising, but we're not. They're vital chances.

Which ties in Richarlison, many teams have a striker who you rely on and then a second player who feeds off scraps and scores the rebounds/tap in's. We're missing a key striker. I don't see either of them as our "main" striker.

I do also think confidence/frustration is playing a huge part. Richarlison esp is so desperate for a goal that he's continually making mistakes and putting the weight of the world on his shoulders.
