Apparently, Man U, Arsenal(bwahahahaha!) or Real Madrid are going to buy him. Get out you scoundrel!

But his finishing ability.. His decision making.. It's below average. But it still balances out enough to make him a 6-8/10 striker depending on his form.

Will he ever score 20+ goals in a season? I don't know. I think it's unlikely he will replicate his form from last season or even the year before when you consider how lopsided the purple patches are. He needs to evenly distribute them across the entire season, not to mention create more assists. Something he definitely has in his locked (Two backheel assists to Richy & Siggy for an example) and does play well when he drops deep. If he simply improved his decision making, like making those mandatory 1on1 passes when our players are 1on1 then we have a fine player on our hands. He doesn't need flashy technique or to be the most clinical player in the world if he can cover his bases elsewhere (See RS's F*rmino) and DCL is already a better goal scorer, miles better aerially, etc.

I'd like to see DCL sit back & train more with Richy/Siggy/James and try to reinvent his finishing technique. Seems overly confident when he has no reason to be.
Yes. Scored 21 goals last season.

Rio Ferdinand again talking up DCL going to united. This one definitely has legs, but Rafael aint gonna sell cheap to United, despite their cheapskate tendencies.

Then why wasn't that initially clarified? Gareth didn't address this at all before or after the match.
I think it would be pretty sweet if he played the next match & scored, he has it in him. Physically speaking he is genuinely world class.

Literally comparable to Ronaldo in terms of getting at the end of passes/crosses, knows how to move intelligently in the box & win penalties, this is a rare ability that cannot be overstated. Without him we wouldn't have some of our most precious memories, and he doesn't even get to take them (E.G Henderson incident)

Shut up Ricky

I can see Kane suffering one of his injuries and DCL coming in to be Englands new golden boy.

Also, I think Benitez will be seeking to lock DCL down...cant see him going anywhere.

Apparently he has to name 2 keepers it’s in the rules

What a stupid rule

Name 1 game where 2 keepers were injured or sent off and a third keeper had to play

i don’t see how they can stipulate that. I mean you can have a keeper play upfront if you like or a striker play in goal. When someone comes in as a sub there is no rule that defenders can only play in defence etc. what a weird and crap rule

I don't think he has. Think Philips and or Rice have. Haven't conceded a goal and look hard to beat.

Saka played better than Sterling in that he actually pulled off being direct. Sterling can't beat a man, runs into them, or loses the ball. People dismiss that shocking pass back last night where Muller should've scored. Summed up his game so far. But he pops up with a goal so his all round game is forgetton about.

Like I say though, Southgate has gambled and it's paid off. It's just when it doesn't, it's what he does to change it.

I have never understood the hype around sterling … has no outstanding quality other than pace. He is so wasteful with the ball and chances and it doesn’t suprise me that he’s being linked with a move away from city

That's quite the word salad.

I think, using DaveysTrandslate, you are saying"

I think DCL is okay. He may get better. Bits of his game need work. Those bits are actually quite rubbish. But he's okay. I'm a bit confused about him. Not in a man feeling's way. Well maybe. Look at those eyes *swoon*"

It's alright mate, we've all been there.
