Sounds like Utd sniffing around has some legs.

Interesting if the club decide to cash in and give Benitez a large pot to reinvest in or not.

Would rather he stay but if they offer £80+ million you would think we'll entertain an offer.

I remember the rumours last year were we said £80 million minimum to Utd. You’d have to think that stance wouldn’t change for someone who got 20 goals in all comps last season and is in the England squad.

My main worry is that if we sell him we need to sign someone who is at least as good. I wouldn’t know where to look but then again I’m not a scout lol

80 million, I know he's rated on here but 80 million, if he goes it won't be anything near that price
Dead right. The people quoting this figure are seriously deluded. Imagine DCL was playing for Brighton and his season record was exactly the same. If Everton were in for him, how much would you pay? I’d be disappointed if the club paid more than £15/20m.

Hey you guys DCL is a good player but United i doubt will pay 80 million unless we sell Martial , the glazers have spent a bit already but they are under pressure , but Benitez would not just sell him for peanuts and that is the correct thing to for your club , maybe a swap eh ?

I think the pandemic has knocked a bit off transfer fees - Sancho went for a good bit cheaper than was being touted last season - but you still pay a premium on young English players. Could maybe see him going for £50mill-£60mill.

You wouldn’t get a championship striker for £15million these days.

There are a few decent forwards out there if you was to cash in but all would be somewhat of a risk.

Ivan Toney at Brentford

Danny Ings has 12 months on his deal but I fancy Spurs to go for him if Kane leaves

Tammy Abraham at Chelsea

Edouard at Celtic

Lacazette at Arsenal

Obviously plenty more knocking about. May just be paper talk as Utd are pretty stacked up top but the club need to rinse anyone for £80+ million and not sell on the cheap if any serious bids came in.

I have never understood the hype around sterling … has no outstanding quality other than pace. He is so wasteful with the ball and chances and it doesn’t suprise me that he’s being linked with a move away from city

I do think he's a very good attacker. He's relentless and awkward even though like you say he gives the ball away a lot and I can't recall him dribbling past a defender for a while (he runs into them).

Never world class though as he's shown for City that he can be dropped and them still win.
