Well I wasn’t talking about his career but this season, the few times I’ve seen United, I’ve seen none of that. Even on Saturday, none of that.
Ronaldo is the only one arsed in training apparently.
They are all going through the motions and he has fallen out with a few players for not showing effort and determination.

Interim manager no doubt also effecting that side as well.

Oh I’m sorry, have you seen him busting a gut so far this season for his 18 goals? Dude’s a statue these days.
it's not often I agree with you Nymzee...but you have nailed this one. Eton Dom is a manifestation of everything rotten in our game....a useless, good-looking, woke, chocolate teapot earning 100K a week for being a useless manifestation. It's a circle jerk... and I'm fed up with it.

I want a striker who can play, who wants to play for Everton not some W****R who prefers to put on silly clothes and parades down a walk way.

As you can see I have been told of for bad language which I fully accept. It was really just a measure of temper over a player who seems to have lost his desire to play for our club.

9/10 we're a better team when he starts.

I've been saying play him into fitness and confidence for ages given the lack of alternatives.

To be fair, he's recovering from a bad injury, low on confidence and we have very little by way of creativity/only Norwich have created less chances in the league this season. I also suspect he's been told to stay upfront/central - to 'goal hang'

All that said, his performance against Burnley was lazy. One or two token closing down of the 'keeper doesn't wash. We had plenty of the ball in the final third and he barely moved - to not try and create space, to move the defence, do anything... nah. Can't/won't defend that.

He was the same against Man Utd.

Celebrating the goal looked to be an effort.

I don't know the motivation why he has decided to barely move, I suspect it's fitness/confidence, but he's got to show some willing and at least try and create some space. If he can't do that, Lampard has to go for Rondon or Dobbin. Rondon can at least offer some presence/hold ball up maybe and I've not got a clue about Dobbin but I assume he'd cause more of a nuisance/create some space.

Here's hoping he scores against Leicester and then doesn't look back.

Whatever happens though, we need another striker. People took the piss when I was saying Mitrovic or Maupay a few years back but we need that combative/street footballer upfront. We need some competition/an alternative to goal hanging poacher.

Agree, Chocolate tea pot or fire guard used for years, nothing racist about it, chocolate melts, end of,
If anything, its the opposite to racist!
The poster uses the saying without even acknowledging what the accusation was! Just like a 5 year old wouldn't spot it because there is an innocence to it!

The accuser if anything is setting a bit of a tone and an idea of what is in there head!

I'm sort of reminded of a situation with Arteta a good few years back. He'd got a groin problem but was playing through it. Clearly wasn't the Arteta who waltzed through games. He was getting dogs on a few sites (Toffeeweb at the time particularly) for lack of effort etc.

I can't recall who we played, but he was wide right and near where I was sat at Goodison second half. Clearly holding his groin. He'd been barely mobile before, but he literally couldnt move. Of course, he didn't close someone down... The flak Arteta took was mad. Moyes wouldn't sub him either.

Then he ended up having surgery https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo...news/everton-upbeat-over-mikel-arteta-3487029. As we all know he was by and large super for us going forward.

Anyway, moral of the story, we're bloody quick to jump on a player even when playing through the pain barrier. Which may be the case here because none of us truly know what's going on with DCL.

If he is struggling then there is definitely a case to manage him and use another option such as Dobbin or even Alli as a false nine (although he's another mystery). Maybe Rondon will prove me wrong and be our saviour, but I'm not convinced. I say that a lot and I'm proven wrong frequently, so what do I know? ;)

Do I need to be shipped to Ukraine now?
