The problem that some of our spotty neck beards have is that he is a very sexy fella and not afraid of girls clothing, which causes fume on top of body odour fumes with our pizza face cohort.

Get a bath you absolute stinking mess and get behind the best CF that we have had since DF, possibly GS.

Cant tell if your serious. Suggesting hes our best CF since Ferguson/

He was never particularly good. I would completely credit Carlo to his run of form last year, he turned a Championship CF to a goal machine during his tenure. Shows the effects of a world-class manager.

I can't think of one better than DCL since Big Bad Dunc hung up his boots.
Yakubu was OK but I'm struggling to think of another option.
Yakubu was a quality finisher. Lazy perhaps, but the goals justified it.

Lukaku is by a mile the best centre forward we have had since I started going in 1998.

Kevin Campbell was my hero as kid, but nowhere near the level of Rom.

Even at 16 Rooney was better than DCL is or will probably ever be. When you think of the context and perspective around Rooney's emergence, my god he was something else at 16 years old.

He got him doing the simple things well and becoming a poacher. I think there was a thing at the time that DCL was pushed by Ancelotti to stay in the box, get in and around the penalty spot, six yard box etc.

A combination of no-ancelotti, and the negative-Benitez has probably pushed him back massively.

When you compare him to Kane, who is a similar nature of build, he's so far behind. I appreciate Kane is a top level striker but in terms of comparing two players of a similar build.

Assuming DCL stays, after this season any suitors may have been put off... And assuming we stay up, a good summer break, a plan with Lampard and coaches to play to his strengths again we may see him firing again.

Did Lampard play uner Ancelotti? I wouldn't be surprised to see if Lampard asks for detail on what got DCL scoring under him.

If we want him to score goals, I think the key would be to actually create chances for him.

You dont need to speak to Carlo for that.

I'd disagree in comparing Kane to DCL. Kane is more of a hybrid who will often drop deep to be involved in the build-up play if need be, Dom is an out-an-out CF who stays up for headers and tries to get on the end of things.

I agree Goat, there is a wider issue ofcourse, but i dont think DCL helps himself either. Look at Richy, poor form recently (what feels like a season i guess), but he still finds a chance or two. Burnley away, should have bagged from open play, WHU, should have bagged, Recent home game 1on1 from a left angle (cant remember who i have been trying to erase Everton games from memory). DCL doesnt have the conviction that others do infront of goal (fair to say Richarlison hasnt recently either)

We have been so bad this season its not fair to say its just on DCL's head his lack of goals, it isnt. We have to make chances but make them ones that DCL thrives on, not ones that he has no history in scoring. I dont think contacting the one manager who got a solid tune out of him would be a bad thing

I get what you mean pal, but I meant in his build mate, not neccesserily in how he plays, He's a tall strong striker who should be involved in play, but he doesn't have bags of technical ability to be able to link things up.. Technically Kane is miles ahead who is tall-ish, strong, technically strong and a complete link for everyone in that Spurs attack.

If we want the best from DCL we need to stop using him as a target man and start remembering what he is good at. He also needs to start grafting again. In a game like Saturday's id expect him to be at teh time for km's covered beacuse he's a lone striker. Wasn't even in the top 5 if i remember correctly!
