Fell short before him as well. That’s why we can count on one hand the number of real quality strikers we’ve had in the last 3 decades. He might not be good enough for where we want to be but we have much bigger issues in midfield than we do with Dom.....we've fell a long way when ot comes to strikers since Lukaku.
This feller is simply nowhere near good enough.
I terll you this, patience has run out for him. If he stays and still cant score enough goals early next season the fans will be gunning for him.
No one is coming in for him with a any bid. THAT is why he'll remain.
If he comes through pre season unscathed and starts like he did last season on the goal front then there won’t be an issue....we've fell a long way when ot comes to strikers since Lukaku.

Exactly. Like every striker, he needs service.Everyone talks about 20+ a season striker, in todays Premier League this is a very rare commodity. DCL looked good last season and if this season had been similar we would have been fighting off bids. A season of injury has created uncertainty and lowered his value and desirability to other clubs. If he is as effective next season under Lampard as he was under Ancelloti there is no one in the market that will be as good for Everton.
I do fear Lampard will not play to his strengths the same way Ancelotti did unfortunately. If he doesn’t I’m not sure Dom has the all round strikers attributes to get anywhere near 20 goals again.Everyone talks about 20+ a season striker, in todays Premier League this is a very rare commodity. We dont really. We need goals and lots of them...and he isn't good enough to get a lot of them.Fell short before him as well. He’s averaged 1 in 2.5 over the last 3 seasons. So he canWe dont really. We need goals and lots of them...and he isn't good enough to get a lot of them.
We don’t have a functioning midfield. No striker will get goals until that is sorted. We dont really. We need goals and lots of them...and he isn't good enough to get a lot of them.

Ignore the fact we have no attackers beyond a player about to be sold.We don’t have a functioning midfield. No striker will get goals until that is sorted.
Well considering his job is to score goals, 1 in 2.5 is probably a good way of judging his contribution.Statistics eh?
He's nowhere near good enough.
