He’s good but Drogba was on another planet by comparison imho. DD truly scored every type of goal, we haven’t and won’t be seeing blamos from outside the box from Dom
Was it Ancelloti who used the comparison to Drogba and Inzaghi?

Drogba joined Chelsea aged 26, so Dom's age now, and in that season scored 16 goals in 41 games in 2004/05 - that was in a the title winning team with Roben and co. The same tally of 16 goals in 41 the following year, 2005/06, this was also the title winning team.

Actually, if you look at Drogba's return (table below) in the team that dominated the period you can see Dom was moving toward this level prior to the injury nightmare with 15 goals in 41 games in 2019/20 and the following season bagged 21 goals in 39 games, then the injury issues began. Also worth pointing out that in his first his couple of seasons at the club he was asked to fill holes, even being used as a wing-back by Koeman.

Dom's injuries have coincided with our relegation battles, it is no coincidence. If we let the doctors get him right that 50 million can be increased three fold. UTFT!

Drogba was absolutely miles better, this is embarrassing.

Mate come on.

Didier Drogba, really?

He's not even remotely close to that level.

Dom is a good player when fit, but that's the thing when fit we cannot and I repeat cannot rely on him for another season. If we do it a third time and don't bring in another experienced striker we are going to struggle again. We may not be so lucky to stay up too. If the club are relying on him again it's utter insanity.

On his day, when fully fit, is in the top 5 premier league strikers in my book
Top ten for me and better than anyone else we could get right now in our price bracket when he's fit. But he doesn't score enough but he definitely has a lot of great attributes for a target man he's mobile great in the air can link play and also run in behind but apart from the Carlo season he's never been prolific and his injuries... His injuries.

I certainly hope he becomes as good as (if not better) than DD!
