We need a striker in the summer, hopefully one than get at least 15 goals.

I don't think Beto is the answer either, he looks really really awkward

15 Goal a season strikers aren’t easy to come by. And we are a bottom half relegation scrapping team (for a third season) so it’s even more unlikely.

9 players scored 15 last season.
8 the season before.
7 (including DCL) the season before that.

And aside from 1, maybe 2 of them, they were all for teams finishing in European positions (or at least top half).

I wouldn't worry about it.

If we ever do find a 15 goal a season striker again they won't be at Everton long.

I would take a 10 goal striker.

In the league only at Burnley, Sheff U, Everton and Man United don't have an attacker that has hit 5 goals yet in the league already. Its really not as hard as Calvert Lewin and Maupay make it look.

It’s better than it used to be when everyone just used to bang on about a 20 goal a season striker (because Yakubu did it once and then we lucked out that Chelsea were crap at seeing talent and sold us lukaku so some people thought it was standard)

Usually only 2 or 3 20 goal a season strikers and people used to think we would just go out and get one.

Probably, they'd absolutely leather us and most of the teams in this league though.

It’d be interesting if one of DCLs anus lickers can provide a single metric that points to him being anything other than poor in the PL.

Availability - Nope, regularly injured
Finishing - Statistically the worst in the league
Passing - Doesn’t strike me as a good passer
Hold up play - Never manages to hold it up
Effort (sprints, distance) - Doubt he’d rank anywhere

Just an out-and-out, Championship standard plodder who has had one goal scoring run in his whole career to date.

No ones arguing with you about off the field but on the field?

I'd say right now he is the BIGGEST problem?

Most clean sheets and looking very solid in defence, garner and onana performing well in the middle, doucoure slotting goals ( when fit)

Our biggest problem is dcl/beto and the wingers

The midfield is the engine room for chances created - we have a very weak one - DCL has been off form missing a chance a game , but sorry that's all he gets - the gap between him & the midfield is ridiculous, Dyche plays two wingers when the cross how many players are in the opposition box?
One or two at the most .....

Back to goal, he is the best we have atm - Beto is not a back to goal player, his strength is a through ball to run on too - he has the ability to bully defences - we play mainly a long ball game, so Dyche IMO should be aiming for 442 - Beto could start wider than DCL & use his attributes better there IMO - as I stated two wingers & one striker in the box is not working goal wise we lack creation too - we struggle to score in the formation we have - the 10 point deduction has not helped either .....
I have to agree DCL is missing the one chance he should be scoring, but it's slim pickings for him atm as it would be for any striker in our formation .....
