Watkins is a far more rounded player in terms of skillset than Dom. I just think 2 years of injuries have changed him, perfectly understandable imo. He hasn't got that instinct to pounce for things anymore, there is an automatic nervousness that kicks in and puts the brakes on to some extent when he tries things now.

Not sure why they only want to play a single striker formation with Calvert-Lewin. He was most effective beside Richarlison who was essentially a striker in style. Like to see more of Beto or Dobbin with Calvert-Lewin just to see if that creates more chances.

If roles were reversed and Watkins was an Everton striker the entire team I doubt he would have improved much. We are a deathbed for strikers.
