The blame is with these muppets running the club that means Maupay is his replacement and has been for some time now!

The club should be so far past that stage now. Been putting him in cotton wool for nearly two years.
This club is exhausting and annoying. Seen better run non league clubs.

He gets fit though and you do get games like Brighton away where he didn't score but he was superb all game at holding it up and giving Lewis Dunk arguably his toughest game of the season.

Thing is club are circling the drain endlessly where you just need one big result a month to stay e.g. 9 wins so if you can get one very good performance a month from Calvert Lewin that will probably be enough come May.

Hes played 29 games in two seasons. Not even available for 50% of games

I'll put money on he wont play more than 5 games before another breakdown.
I cant believe we are even here again. Im not sure any other club would be reliant on 1 single injury prone striker. Seriously pissed at this club right now.

A perennial crock. Utterly sick and bored of hearing about his various rehabs and comebacks and personalised fitness programmes. Get him replaced asap or we are going down relying on him to ever be fit enough to lead the line regularly. Disgrace that we started with Maupay today.

A normal club would have brought two strikers in and have this walking operation way down the pecking order. Here we are in 2023 and he is still our main striker

So what's actually going on? Was he ready but had another set back before the game? Or was it simply decided he was still not yet ready to be involved in a Premier League game?

We need to accept that he will probably strughle to play 20 games a season going forward and sign a striker.

Even if he was fit and reliable we should still have a good backup, the fact that he hasnt been for years and we havent brought another in is pure negligence by the whole board/recruitment team.

Hate to say it as I love Dom and think we look miles better with him in the team, but right now the most important thing is keeping Everton in the Premier League, and that’s not happening without someone who can score goals
