Missed less games than Coleman through injury since he signed hereGet shot, he’s injury prone and doesn’t score. Last year of contract. Not diffucult decision

DefinitelyIs anyone still hoping he signs the contract?
100%. Would rather he’d run over hot coals to eagerly sign it as soon as it was offered and asked us to reduce his wage out of a sense of duty, but we probably can’t afford or attract a better striker, for all his failings. Is anyone still hoping he signs the contract?
Picking the most injury prone player we have who also should not have been given a new contract seems a very low bar.Missed less games than Coleman through injury since he signed here
I could have said Gomes or Delle !!Picking the most injury prone player we have who also should not have been given a new contract seems a very low bar.
DCL is exactly the type of striker that plays in Dyche's strengths.DCL is one of our best players, id like him on a new contract.
Lack of goals are a concern, but you have to have creativity around him, you have to have other players on the same level, or better, and you have to have a manager playing to his strengths. At present this isnt the case. Dyche strength is being hell bent on defensive cohesion without really thinking too much about attacking flair. This is obvious to anyone watching. He is the total opposite of Martinez.
Id be gutted if DCL left right now, without a proper replacement. Maupey and Beto isnt the answer.
If he doesn't sign a new deal, he will be sold otherwise his contract will run down & we will get no fee .....he has turned his deal down not just with us & Newcastle allegedly .....DCL is exactly the type of striker that plays in Dyche's strengths.
Tall, pacey, good hold up target man. Can get on the end of crosses.
He is exactly what is needed for the main striker. Issue is he doesnt score that many and we just don't know if he'll break down again or whether he'll stay fit. It appears he may be over the sort of injury that kept him out.
As I'm new to the forum and I'm not about to scroll back 3 years it seems to me @ForeverBlue92 comes in for some ganging up, my question is, is it deserved?
