Do you really think it reflects well on him if we agree that he can only score at a respectable rate when receiving direct instructions from the best manager ever?
Again, I take your point BUT - he has had the worst service I can ever recall. He is expected to outmuscle 2 premier league CB's, with no support and 60 yard pickford diagonals played to his bonce or random tarks balls down the channels AND score goals? He does the former very well but how on earth he also meant to get goals when the is practically zero actual crosses and any real support? When he was given service under carlo guess what.......

Has to be moved on if he's not going to agree a new contract in the next month. Free transfer next season means someone can offer him big wages and a big signing on fee, as there will be no transfer fee. Leaving ourselves to get shafted just like Barkley.

He's rumored to be on a 100k a week, we can't be tying our self down to another 4+ years of that, when his goal record over the last few years hasn't warranted it.

Ive heard this "he has terrible service" thing a lot, but I watched the matches. What I saw over and over again was him missing sitters, unable to score 1v1 with the keeper, and just missing the goals you would expect an average striker to hit. Of his 7 league goals, 2 were pens, 1 was the Burnley Embarrassment, 1 was an open net from 1 yard. There are 3 goals of his we would need to replace. In the past 3 years he has 7 non-penalty goals.

Yeh, I often hear thisa but in trith there was not that many chances missed - nothing like Maupay or Darwin levels. Also, he basically hads the last 2 yearas off!!

Anway, I am not that bothered, just feel there needs to be a bit of reflection from many on here as to what he does do very well given te circumstances.

There's no way of outright disproving what you say, so fair enough.

To me, he's just an average player at a bottom-half club. I don't see him being uniquely put upon because he's asked to do the sort of legwork that virtually every striker gets through, nor could I point to anything in his game that suggests he's better than his current station.

At the same time, he's very much available. If Ancelotti fancies a reunion (or any other top club sees the potential I don't), it wouldn't take mega money to get a deal done.

As always with these things.....time will tell by which time I will totally have forgoten who I had this discusion with! I hope he stays and has a season with a decent number ten and a couple of wingers - I hate the thopught of trying to replace him while still playing Dyche ball

Got my Dom’s signed a new contract outfit ready.
All you haters can sniff it.

Can't sell him if he doesn't want to leave this summer. Similar to how we should be selling Keane and Holgate, but you can only sell what somebody else wants to buy.

I assume those three, plus Seamus, Young, Doucoure, Gueye and Maupay will leave out of contract next summer.

8 out. Plus Mykolenko and Garner going into their final year and needing to be sold if they won't extend or if the club decides to sell.

Plus Harrison only on loan. Oh and obviously we won't keep Onana or Branthwaite past next summer. Potentially losing over half a squad next summer - ace. Great time for a reset tbh.

I cant believe Ancelotti took Mbappe over calvert lewin. Surely Carlo remembers aug-dec 4 years ago.

Goals are goals, however they hit the back of the net.

I just think he would have signed by now if he was staying, sadly. I wish it would just get sorted one way or the other we can't plan until he makes a decision. He doesn't sign he will be sold.
