didn't save us a penny because we finished 4 points above burnley and if you take away the 3 points from that palace game we still finish 1 point above burnley. The other argument is also invalid because burnley lost on the last day of the season anyway and our mindset would have been different against arsenal in any event, so you can't have it both ways. we beat palace on 19th may 2022 the same time villa played burnley so had we lost that palace game still would have gone into the final day of the season above burnley. burnley knew that they would have to win anyway with the leeds result and still bottled it.

also didn't michael keane score a crucial equaliser in that game

ironically the game that technically saved us from relegation that season was the stinky 0-0 away point to watford reserves - a frank lampard classic

without that point taking out the palace win for argument's sake then we would have finished below burnley on goal difference

Since he basically played some mind games to get sold and then became injured during the summer window then was good to move at a cheaper fee in Jan., players have the right to leave so I get the double standard assertion you're making but Barkley was a self professed life long blues supporter then when his stock got high instead of going about in a transparent way was supposedly making a lot of noise behind the scenes with stories of him clashing with koeman who I'm aware was known to be a little rough when it came to dealing with players.

For me it's the little details that make it different I wouldn't call him a rat but there seemed to be something underhanded about his conduct that's the distinction for me as dom just opted to not renew his contract.

That could be an inroad into getting Asprilla here, also Watford would be a decent place for Chermiti, young players do well there normally.

Incredibly poor from him I’m afraid if that’s true. If he wants to leave then I’d happily see him go, frankly it would just be about getting a price for him as he’s scored about 5 goals in 5 years at this rate.

I don't think it is bad from him, with the abuse he gets and the thankless task of leading the line for us, never mind the pressure of him being our saviour, why would he stay?

But yes, its something I said at the end of the season, if he wont sign a new contract, he must be sold, this fanbase hates him already, with only 12months left the abuse would be quite disgusting if he went 5minutes without a goal or didnt run around at full pelt for 90minutes.

God forbid he picked up a minor injury and had to go off.

Leaving is without question the best decision he could make.
