You only have to read this thread over the last few hours, people calling him a rat for wanting to leave.
The lad hasnt done anything wrong other than say that after 7 years he fancies a different challenge elsewhere.
He hasnt ratted us, hes given us months to sell him for whatever we can get.
If he said on the 31st August that he was off I could understand it, I guess most people that are calling him a rat must still be in the same job that had when they left school.

Sell him and get someone who scores goals. Nice enough lad but nowhere near good enough to be held to ransom over.

Well breaking the wage structure for then. Either way I'd be dumbfounded if we offered him stupid money now. Didn't realise how bad the return was over the past three seasons.
Hopefully he thinks he can take Isaks place starting for Newcastle and they come back in.
Obviously it's not easy bringing in a prolific striker but if you're creative they're out there for a decent fee like when stuttgart acquired guirassy from Ligue 1 for 9 million who we were tentatively linked with,scoring 11 goals on loan high twenties this most recent season. But a striker that can make an impact without being a hefty fee does exist if we can locate such s player is another question....
Maybe he's not signing because he wants to move on and not because the contract is too low

But if he has come out and said he won't be signing at all this early, it sounds to me more like simply wanting to leave
I can’t wait until he goes and does his interview for his new club saying ‘I want to get back into the England team’. Only to then sit on the bench, get injured, and rarely play football again. I like Dom and he’s been ok for us but the disrespect he has shown us now has sealed it for me. Dyche should have him training with the kids, nowhere near the first team and tell him and his agent find a new club and quick. I just don’t know where he goes. He’s not good enough for the Sky 6, Newcastle don’t want him, at this rate it’s Villa, West Ham, Brighton or Brentford, I can’t see any half decent team paying him 150k a week though, not with his injury record.
No idea mate to be honest. It's a lot of guesswork.
I'm still frustrated that the Newcastle thing fell through. Thought that was absolutely ideal for us and thought they'd definitely offer him enough for him to go. Massive shame.
