Erm Dave, Giroud left Arsenal in 2018. Arteta was a cone layer at City at that time. Also he was their starting striker and not a backup plan B boot it long option off the bench.

A player who was given plenty of opportunities to develop and rewarded with a hefty contract off of the back of his only two years of form he hasn't been able to reproduce since now wants to leave us in the lurch.

He's not scored many goals since signing that contract and now wants to pocket his money and say goodbye.

Let's give him another 50 grand a week raise while he's scoring 6-7 a season eh.

I honestly don't think the club are interested in offering him a deal mate. Or a credible deal anyway.

What’s a ‘credible’ deal for a player in a position where the main objective is to score goals who doesn’t score goals?
And for a senior player who has had significant spells out with injury? Are you advocating that lower than required goals return and (unfortunate) regularity of incapacity is a good basis for a better deal than he’s currently on?
In our financial position wages have to be realistic, and equally the players have to be committed to the Club.
