Know i posted similar earlier but look at wissa goal at weekend. Basic pass for him to chase. One on one. Bang Goal. That options hardly ever there with Calvert lewin. One he rarely offers himself for that pass. Two, his conversion rate when in them is terrible.
You look and read all the arguments for and against. Bottom line is hes just a forward who doesnt hit the net enough.

he is terrible one on one with the keeper. Whenever he is through on goal, you know he is going to miss.

The majority of his goals are scruffy or tap ins bad a few decent headers.

Theres not a cat in hells chance any half decent run club entertains a forward with that return over 3/4 years.
But we're not even half decent run.

I miss when people still tried to defend his goal scoring record.

Probably one of the luckiest footballers in the world getting signed to an Everton that continuously couldn't sign a half decent striker to keep him out of the team for nearly the entire decade he's been here.

He has not suddenly become crap he has always been crap.
Over 8/9 years he has scoring rate of 1 in 4 games , over the same period he has managed 15 assists.His most productive season was when we played in front of no crowds a season really that could be dismissed as irrelevant.
We have to find a way of playing without him as he doesn't appear to want to be here mind you we could say the same about the manager.

Goes under the radar that a bit. If you've got an out and out goal poacher like Gary Lineker you accept stats like that. But for a forward who's meant to lead the line and be a number 9 its not good. I must admit i was very surprised when looking through the years his assists were so low.

I like Dom tbh but for me the acid test generally is if he was playing for someone else would we be excited about it looking to sign him.

Can't say that's an affirmative from me, I'm afraid.

Why did he play so well under Carlo? He needs to look at what he did so well in that period and do the same. Not asking him to do a number 10 role and the striker at the same time might help. I’m not saying he will become the best striker in the world but he may score more goals.
