I’ve consistently backed DCL, but I thought he was a disgrace today. Permanently rooted to the spot, Beto isn’t the answer but at least he puts himself about and has a go.

Never seen her IE Wright & Rod Belfitt then or even Bret Angel - I agree he needs a good rest out of the team - but imo nothing much will change under Dyche!

None of them were our first choice forward, though. Calvert lewin is a disgrace to the Everton shirt. Beto isn't good enough, but he hasn't had anywhere near the chances that Calvert lewin has had. Calvert lewin is embarrassing (I'm not saying he should have, but Calvert lewin offers little to nothing for us and the results back it up).

Imagine a club aiming to win the Prem title and go far in the UCL cooling their interest in a striker who averages 6 goals a season and continually fails to hit the target from several feet out. (perhaps you meant the sunday league Arsenal that play on Clapham Common on a weekend...)

When where his "best days"???? DCL is in his 9th season at the club and the only time he has ever gotten to double figures was under King Carlo, partly under the Covid/empty stadium days, and that was four years ago.

17 goals in last 3.5 seasons I think it is. Averages about 6 or 7 a year, as a "peak 27 year old". I'd be amazed if there is any club out there willing to pay a fee for this guy. Doubt he's even Prem quality tbh.

Completely agreed - and yet...... that's the madness of the football world. DCL has "made it" as a Prem player, and if/when he goes on a free there will be clubs like Newcastle/Spurs/Villa/United who might very well be interested in taking him on a free when otherwise they'd have never considered him.
