Once he adds that to his game he will fantastic.
His hold up play is improving, he has a first touch, he has awareness.
IF is goalscoring instincts and shooting technique improve we will have quite a player.

I would be tempted to continue with him as the main striker. Certainly buy someone in to help with the burden, but I think he is getting better with every game and this season is one in which the club needs to give the likes of DCL and JJK the chance to make their postions their own.
Completely agree. I would carry on with him as the main striker. He's getting better because he's getting games. We'll be better off for it in the long run in my opinion.

Talk of how he won't take us to the next level in this thread are way off, in my opinion. We had Lukaku and finished 11th twice. We also had Stones in the same team and now he's like cultured and all that.

You could put Aguero up front in our current team and he would still be playing with a lot of flawed, one dimensional players who need upgrading.

I like Dom upfront, I think he has the makings of a great player and I would be happy to persist with him in the side with Niasse as a back up for a while. They suit the way we play at the moment. I don't see benteke or giroud as significant upgrades, considering how few chances we create.

If we signed some creative players and bolassie comes back strongly then I'll probably think differently.

Nor me. Two massive sulks imo.
And it might be a bit paternalistic and tribal, but I am really fond of having the younger players doing the business and showing some genuine joy in playing for Everton, even of we're currently mid table.

Budgets and all that usually dictate the trophies these days, so this at the very least somewhat does it for me

It is a pretty neat feeling isnt it.

amusing how, after four years of people whinging that our greatest goal-scorer in at least a decade doesn't run around enough or hold the ball up, we now have a striker who holds the ball up and runs about but rarely scores.

feels like karma.

lollol

Good point. Well made

In terms of stats he's ahead of the Harry Kane curve. It'd be interesting to see how he would do in a good Championship side and whether he truly is a goalscorer.

Giroud's not really a sulk tbf mate

He's cracked on at Arsenal even tho he's been demoted to supersub despite having one of the best minutes/goals ratio in the league, and has battled to win his place back a few times

I don't want but is attitude is sound

Hasn’t Rooney scored more or equal to Lukaku at this stage though, he runs about a bit.

Yeah but don't let that get in the way of lazy stereotyping
