This i think, abit like Welbeck i would say, only time will tell with him, we need to be patient with these kids, they (DCL & Davies in particular) have not been helped at all by the club and the "more experienced" players this season, in my opinion they will come out of this season better players for dealing with the pressure to perform this season

Its abit strange to be honest 2-3 years ago we were all over hyping our youngsters with the likes of Long, Ledson, Browining etc.

Now it seems with Davies, Kenny & DCL we are very very quick to write them off

I remember this well. He was absolutely dreadful, looked like a sunday league player and not a single person could fathom how he was on the pitch.

Cant compare DCL with Kane, only that he needs time to develop. The good thing is, like Kane he gets into these positions.

We need players who are capable of putting the ball into the back of the net. If people think the best move is for DCL to stay with us and get the odd 20/30 minutes off the bench, then I wholeheartedly disagree that that's the best course of action for him to realise his potential. He needs to play week in week out, and the best place for that is in a team at his current level, which may be Championship or bottom half of the Premier League, on loan of course. Same with Davies.

Can't remember. But I know if the many chances that he's fluffed would have fallen to Niasse, as an example, we'd have scored more goals. Whether those goals would have gained us points, couldn't tell you.
