If he's going out on loan next season it has to be to a PL club. Championship is pointless at this stage.

He would learn nothing in the championship, he needs to be challenged to improve on his performances...
He should not go on loan anywhere but be an important part of our squad next season where he will flourish & become a better player...

10 men? Did Schneiderlin and Rooney do anything to justify being classed as a player?

He was played in his 4th different position of the season, as far as I could tell, and anyone who has played 'no10' while Rooney is on the pitch is doomed for failure as Rooney sometimes takes up that space as well

Understand his critics for being played so much and its something I agree with, but if we have a look at his goals and assist record for a full season from a young lad paying for a team who doesn't create a lot from an unaudited position, that's very positive.

How many PL clubs would give him enough playing time. Reckon he would just be a used sub. Championship would be more beneficial for him and if he cannot do it in the championship then we will have our answer about his quality.

Very unlikely he would start for any other team in the Premier League. Depressing that for a lot of this season he's been our first choice. Probably encapsulates our struggles quite well.

Mate. Half the detractors that post on here will bum him however he plays. They have decided already that he will never be good enough to play for us, which for somebody who turned 21 weeks ago is absurd.

I may be wrong, but I dont think any of his supporters believe he should be a regular starter for the first XI. In fact the majority of us agree that he is not ready and has played far too much football this season and most of it out of position like at the weekend.

If he does go on loan it needs to be to another Premier team or to the top tier in Germany or France. He will not develop going to the lower league. At his age he doesnt have to plau week in week out. What he needs is to be challenged and to learn from training/playing alongside top quality players.

Thats why I would keep him here but as our 3rd choice striker. So we'll need to bring someone else in alongside Tosun.

I 'm not necessarily saying I would loan him out (it very much depends on how our recruitment goes in the summer) but i'm not sure I agree that going to the Championship would be a waste of time if we were to loan him out.

A season at a lower level where he could play with a bit more freedom and less pressure could be the making of him. If he bagged 15+ in the Championship it could do wonders for his confidence, whereas another season of just scoring 5-6 in the PL would have me seriously questioning whether he would ever make it with us.

There's arguments both ways, but I think it's foolish to think that he's somehow too good for a Championship loan.

I'm not suggesting he's too good I just think why test him in an irrelevant league for his Everton future?

Case in point: Tammy Abraham

Why would it be irrelevant though? Playing regularly in a competitive league where he may find it easier to develop some of the areas he's currently lacking would be fairly relevant in my opinion.

Why exactly is Tammy Abraham a case in point? He did very well in the Championship, and is now playing regularly in the PL and has 2 England caps to his name. Seems like the loan did him the world of good to me. Even if we accept him as a good case, there are countless examples of players who've had PL loans and not progressed. Galloway being an example very close to home.

As I said, i'm not convinced we'll be loaning him anyway, but I can certainly see the logic in him trying to learn in a slightly less demanding environment rather than struggling to keep his head above water at a level that currently seems slightly too high for the lad.

I don't think we'll loan him out either mind. I just mean whilst giving him 40 games in the Championship may sound good, the level isn't similar to what we need him to play against for Everton, if that makes sense? Even if he scores 15 goals, it's confidence sure but we still then aren't sure whether he can then do it in the PL.

Abraham is someone that looked good for Bristol City but then looks fairly average for Swansea (25 games - 4 goals / 2 assists). I'd rather we sent Dom to a team like Swansea next season to see if he can cut it as a starting forward in the PL then watch him potentially score a fair few in the Championship and then come back here and not translate that form. Seems like a wasted season for our player.

Half the teams in the championship are better than half the dross that's in the prem

That's just untrue...

DCL needs to be challenged we need to keep him as a squad player next year where he can show continuous improvement & help us with his goals & assists...

The lad is improving nicely & will become a super talent let him nurture with Everton & we will reap the benefits...

Who are you, his agent? Nowhere near being a good premier league player. Could see him doing a job for the likes of Swansea or West Brom, but not for a team trying to get top half.
