Indeed, I wouldn't say Clinton is a good candidate either, but it's hard to imagine a worse one than Trump. Like you, I could very much see it happening, and an awful day that would be.

His recent views on NATO will stir the pot a bit. Suggesting that the USA would not help a member that hadn't fulfilled it's responsibilities to contribute and are just relying on Uncle Sam to protect them. It will play well in large parts of America and incredibly badly in Washington......

I have no distain for the ordinary voter Pete...surely someone who professes to be vastly smarter than someone like me would understand that it is the campaigns that I distain which are meant to dupe the average voter into choosing their side based on lies, deceit, and half truths.

And I said 'if your were born on this side of the pond'...in other words your ideology parallels the Republican's over here. You are a staunch and outspoken conservative who, if born here, would most likely be an advocate for gun rights. But of course, someone as smart as you knew exactly what I meant.

Yes, seriously. Look at his expressed interest in authoritarian rule (to the effect, "I'm the law and order candidate"), the manner in which he has treated dissent throughout his campaign and in his business dealings, etc. Add those together and you see, in many ways, a text-book definition of a fascist. While the use of that word might feel hyperbolic, I'm not sure what is more accurate. Suggestions?
